Root [ROM]Leaked Stock 2.2 with Sense [EVERYTHING WORKS!!]

Going to Bed.

Thanks hanneman1101 for the help..

Since I'm on leave and dont work for next 2 weeks, I can possibly help some of the others that will be getting on tomorrow wanting to do this.

Ah the sweet taste of Froyo.

Anyone know why my appbrain apps wont show up? are we talking about fingerprints again?

Also Google maps wont update keeps saying unsuccessful...

Well, this isn't going as well as I hoped.

I let it install PB31IMG.zip. It SEEMS to finish. It gets to Radio-V2, and the progress bar fills up, then it reboots.

If I go into clockwormod and try to apply the update.zip, I get the message:
Code:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/ap/HtcTwitter.apk", "some hash here", "some different hash here")
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation abored.

Any ideas? This really bummed me out. :P

Edit:
I booted back into the system, aaaand it's the same as it was before. Looks like PB31IMG didn't work...any ideas?
I downloaded it again, so I'll try that. Can someone hash it for me so I can compare it?
Here are the hashes I get:
MD5 - ecf020404a45f4f0f5460a400d3be591
SHA1 - 3791a09902dd4ee8ab27821b6a795b3c8ad62141

My two downloads have the same hash...so I doubt that's the issue now. Rawr!

Not sure but did you do the full wipe and cache wipe like it says to?

What's it? I don't see that in the first 4 instructions:

Code:
1. Download PB31IMG.zip and place it in the root of you SDCARD.
2. Now go to the bootloader.
2a. Run 'adb reboot oem-42' if powered up or hold Power + Volume Down if your phone is off.
3. It should automatically start loading PB31IMG.zip. Then accept it when it asks you to load it or not (pretty sure Vol Up).
4. You are now completely stock. You should remove PB31IMG from your SDCARD now.

While it is doing that, will will restart the download progress but it should not reboot. and do not rename it update.zip. it should be named PB31IMG.zip

I hadn't renamed it. It restarts all by itself after it seemingly updates the radio and stocks the system, but it doesn't, as it booted me right back into my same old stuff. Tried it twice with the same result.

I looked around the thread, and it seems that it's necesscary to run "Wipe data/factory reset" in clockwork mod...is that correct?

ok try the mirror that they put up. it may have been corrupted.

The mirror's for the ROM, not for PB31IMG.zip

Should I just do a system wipe from clockwork? (I'm fine with doing it, I just want some confirmation that's it's not a completely pointless thing to do. :P)

Sorry, thought you were later on in the process. I dont know

I have tried to follow the steps as they are written.
I unrooted my phone and brought it back to stock.
Then I renamed the OTA zip file to update.zip and mounted it to my SD card.
I go into recovery on the phone and select update zip.
It keeps erroring out there and I get a message that says something about abort and cant find update.zip file.
What am I doing wrong?

i think u messed up by renaming it update.zip. now its update.zip.zip.
change it back to update and you should be ok.

Anyone having issues with home switcher? I am trying to get launcherpro to stay as default. and its refusing to.. always defaults back to sense.

Guys, don't forget about the sick feature called Chrome to Phone. You need to load the Chrometophone apk and run it to link to your G-mail account. Then add the extension for Firefox or Chrome. This allows you to push web addresses, directions from Google maps, copied text, and phone numbers straight to the phone, usually opening the needed app as well. If you highlight text and right click, you will see a "Send this text to Android" option. Killer!

Update: Don't forget to ignore the app if you use a task manager.
