After using Gingerbreak to root. Can i flash recovery using Rom Manager but boot into recovery with phone off? I heard thats the way to do it.

A simple yes or no would be fine. Can i get flash through Rom manager then turn off phone and boot into recovery and flash a rom manually?
Can i get answer without a remark?

Not everyone on the forum roots or knows about rooting, she was merely pointing you in the right direction to find your own answer. There is a thread within this sub forum (all things root) about rom manager, I'd suggest reading what AndyOpie has to say in it and not just look for a simple answer. It is going to be dependent on if you have a 2.2.1 or a 2.2.2.

melim is a really nice and caring member, who was merely trying to interject some humor into the response. Which was for you to look at the all things root sub forum were your thread should be so you can get the best advice for you question.
Edit:where it apparently already is. Sorry!

I do apologize to her. I was wrong. I guess i just want to know can i flash recovery and device thru Rom Mgr? Then the rest ill reboot manually in recovery not through Rom Mgr. Will this work? Im already rooted.

It all depends on your OS version and because of that, weather or not you have a Hitachi screen and it's required drivers. Read this http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-all-things-root/419080-truth-about-rom-manager.html
It will explain everything you need to know about ROM Manager. If you find you can't use it to flash a recovery, then we will be more than happy to show you how to install the proper flash_image and recovery for your screen version.

Yes i read something about the screens old and new.Im new at this type of phone. Im use to Hero and Droid 1 and x and Samsung Cap. Ive used CWM for all, and Odin which was weird. And i do like what i see in Rom tools and Xionia for this phone. Im just use to CWM. But if i can flash any rom then i would adjust to whatever recovery that is recommended. I dont have my phone yet i will this week .Ive only researched for the past two days to be prepared. And the roms and kernels

Ok. You will probably have the Hitachi screen which means you wont be able to install a recovery that is compatible with ROM Manager. Go to my thread and see for sure. There is a link to a post by bigsupersquid who explains how to determine which screen you wind up with.

Also if you wind up with a Hitachi screen you will want to read this, all of this, everything that is on the page https://github.com/inferiorhumanorgans/android_device_lge_thunderc/wiki/Binary

Thank you guys so much for having my back & explaining my goofiness to cell. I'm gonna cry...

And cell, I apologize to you as well. Lesson learned: only joke around with people who know me well enough. :)

Sorry to interrupt- carry on with your rooting voodoo.
