Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Senseless

Yes. The boot animation file name is SPC_bootanimation.zip

It is in "from root of device" system/customize/resource


Put what ever animation you want in that directory and rename it to SPC_bootanimation.Zip

Reboot and see your new boot animation.

Oh, and if anyone still had issues with kernel tuner after updating, make sure you apply your settings, then on the main page hit the wrench at the top and choose this option

Would this ROM work on a Sprint EVO 4G? Im HBOOT 2.18.000 S-ON and currently have the MikG rom but my battery life sucks and want to try something new. I'm new to rooted phones and have had the same ROM since I rooted my phone a little over a month ago :( Appreciate any help :cheers

I'm loving the rom so far. Battery life is fantastic! However, I couldn't help but notice that with the stripped sense features, there is no clock! Could you add the ICS clock with alarm services?

Keep it the way it is. That's the only thing that I like about Sense. I HATE the default android call screen.
 
Once again, can we get some screenshots? I want to see the themes, to see if it's worth my time to flash this, especially if I might not like it.
 
Does anybody know what the icon is between the battery and time is? It just says "04:00" all the time.

Yes I know that the live wall paper kills the battery but I'd just to awesome. Lol this I'd using apex with the jellybean theme and aosp call and contacts flashed to it. CPU 0 at 192-800mhz at conservative and 1 at 192-1500mhz on ondemand and sio battery lasts about a day for me with use.

I was hoping this rom would be like the mobster one that has 3d and 4g working but is almost completely stock ICS


instead it looks like the sense rom with a different launcher set as default.

status bar and notification shade is just themed sense, lockscreen still sense. whats up with that?

was kinda hoping this would be close to a pure android experience. oh well, i am using the sense midnight rom and liking it.

i just don't think you should be able to call it sense-less when it clearly isnt.

It has allot of the sense crap out of it. Still need some for the 3d and 4g to work atm. It does help allot with memory and storage space. I still like this for is uses.

of course not. You can only use roms for the Evo 4G on the Evo 4G.

Go over to xda-developers and get one of the hundreds of roms available for it. There are plenty of AOSP and senseless roms specifically for the Evo 4G.

FWIW, MikG is the rom I used on my Evo 4G for the longest time (after I stopped developing and maintaining my own that is). It's not the rom that makes your battery life suck, it's the phone lol.
 
After updating to TWRP 2.3.1.0, I finally moved from your Sense based 1.3.5 (which I like) to your Senseless 1.0.3 (battery life is more important). So far it's real nice. I quite like the simple look and feel.

My only question is, what happened to the 4G/Wimax toggle in the Power Control widget?

I realize I can access the 4G toggle from Settings, but it was sure handy having it integrated with Power Control.
