Root [ROM] Mik3D - RC1- [10/31/2011]

Keep reporting in guys...I plan to flash this in the next couple days so the more things I can learn from you all about it the better :)
 
I don't know what happened, but my carousel lag has almost completely disappeared. It's been running great today.
I deleted the large calendar widget, but I don't think that was it. Something just clicked, and it works. Never happened like this before. Usually I have problems that get worse until I wipe and reflash.
 
Just a little tid bit I figured out. If you swipe your finger fast across the whole screen, the carousel does a spin animation.
Kinda like slapping a sunglasses display and it spins around a few times. No functionality, just something to play with. :D

Yeah that is Sense 3.0...if you have used a 3VO they have the same deal. Kind of cool but completely worthless ;)
 
After about 48 hours on this rom, I lose wifi. I have to do a battery pull and then it is back. This is the 2nd time this has happened on this rom.
 
I figured out the lag, it is the large calendar widget. I didn't think it was, but I loaded it back on today and the lag returned. Not as bad as it was, but laggy none the less.
I figured I'd share this just in case anyone has the lag I'm experiencing.

Thanks for this info. I actually went back to MikG 2.42 because of little things like that, including other small things i noticed weren't working over time. Of course, that's to be expected in an alpha release -- I am still anxiously waiting for the official RC and will flash that the moment I am aware of its release. ;)

Has anyone tried it with the SuperCharger script?
EDIT: Looks like Granite did it. Cool beans.

I am not familiar with scripts, what does the "supercharger" script do? How do you install it?

I'm having better luck w/golden monkey than the freedom kernel....freedom slowed my phone down.
 
I'm running golden monkey 1.1. The supercharger script reallocates the priority levels of the services and apps you run, thus giving the phone more RAM for what you're doing at the moment. It works for some, not for all just like kernels, from what I read.
Ocnbrze has had good results with both golden monkey and the script with this Rom. I had some issues with golden monkey 1.0 and the script, haven't tried 1.1 with it yet.

I knew this was in there, didn't have time to post. I think there's other fixes in there, can't remember what they are.
