Many people have had issues with the later versions of MIUI. I and many others have stayed with the original version plus the patch which does NOT have the airplane bug nor the screen capture bug. I've been on this version since MIUI for the DX has come out and it's been nothing but smooth. No reboots good battery life. If you want to try out MIUI try this version out. Flash the large file first (1.7.22) then the patch (1.7.22.1). You can then flash the extended settings mod that I saved when this was the current version.

i will take the battery life over an iphoneish droid x any day of the week

the battery life is that awful on it?

one more question..i'm running the two-file, pre-rooted GB..therefore, i would need to SBF back to froyo and then root all over again and then go through the loading process for this rom?

Of course like a dumbass in my excitement to flash something new I did not. I was able to get into stock recovery though and wipe data, as soon as it finished it rebooted just fine into MIUI. Looks kinda cool, probably won't keep it though.

Now before I pull another blunder am I able to flash my CM7 backup or do I have to sbf and flash a nightly then restore?

Video is 480p only Steven. 720p video is going to take some time and effort IMO. I like MIUI so far; very fluid. Going to try out some themes to make it less iPhoney.
