I cant get Dark Theme and the red theme to go on home screen at the same time. Ive tryed flashing them together and separate. when I flash the dark theme the green theme keeps coming in after I reboot! And when I flash the red theme the white pop up boxes return after reboot???? :confused:

OOOOHHHHH CRAP!!! thanks DivaGirl!!! i didnt realize i used the whole framework-res .apk from the green theme when i should have just added the xml to each individual theme!! im gonna fix this right now and re-upload all the themes...check back in like 20-30 min and all the themes will have the dark popup menu's included in the themes!

and ill get you a nice purple theme by tonight! :)
 
please fix updater scripts... #1 priority

Sorry, I would rather not flash my CWM back to a custom recovery. CWM is a lot better.
 
no good on the GINM Recovery.i got install aborted,status 0... :(
clockwork doesnt wipe dalvik cache properly.im not moving to CWM,lol...
CWM is a last resort for me..EVERY DEVICE SHOULD HAVE AmonRA RECOVERY! :D its the greatest recovery of all time...there is a recovery for the evo made by a team called TWERP that has some AWESOME features,but is lacking a couple important options right now,like partitioning SD. but ill put out a few EDIFY themes for you guys who just LOOOOOOOVE CWM.;)

CWM wipes everything fine for me ;) Actually it does everything just fine for me on all devices ;)
 
correct me if I am wrong, but arent joneidys and GINM custom recovery still based off CWM???

I think Koush said it all in that post that mentions that the scripts being used are old and the Edify is the "new standard"....I don't know the guy personally, but I am sure he has lots more experience with android.

i believe i have heard that.im just stating my experience with CWM.i had it for a while and i always had problems with it (bad backups,ROM's would flash and act weird as heck and bug out on me) once i switched to AmonRA i havent had 1 bad nandroid and all my installs have been clean with no problems,unless the ROM itself is buggy. i read on a few different threads that CWM doesnt wipe DALVIK properly..im not stating fact,just heresay from aroung the forums.

the main point is "different strokes for different folks" ;)

They are based on Amon Ra.
 
For some reason when my gf goes to sms settings it force closes.she has 2.2.1 and the pink them installed.I have tried wiping the caches etc,pulled battery,rebooted and it still force closes.Any ideas?
 
Flashed rom then theme then the gb icon widget. Now when I hold the home button, it goes and restarts but starts from the boot animation

Will resigning framework-res.apk fix the settings force closing?? I though you were supposed to retain the sig on system apps and not sign them?? But your probably not talking about what I'm thinking your talking about.

I quoted the wrong comment. You said you made some changes to the framework and it was force closing. You have to resign it if you make changes

i just did it again..i signed it this time,but still getting force closes in the settings..its only most of the settings..sd and phone storage,sound,location and security,(accounts and sync REBOOTS MY PHONE,lol),search,language and keyboard,voice input and output and accessibility...wireless and networks,display,applications,about phone,date and time ALL STILL WORK...i used apk manager.to decompile.then made my changes the values.xml and menu selector.xml..then i compile+sign+install..phone isnt actually plugged in to install,i just manually copy/paste to my SD.

any other ideas..or am i doing this wrong? thanks for the help reppard! and for your bad-a$$ cm7 ROM!
 
this is a weird question but i was wondering where the file is located that you changed to make the popup menus in your rom black? Im trying to change mine to black too for my theme.
 
oh ok thanks man :) you do good work. i know its random but your youtube videos are funny as hell to me as well as very helpful lol.
 
im not phone savvy... but when i go on my settings some of them such as my sms settings it "force closes" or sometimes im doing something on my phone and it restarts :confused: ? ALSO it only does this when u apply a theme i tested without theme and it dont force to close but when i put the pink theme it does "force to close" on some things
