Test 3 also bootlooped @ the lg screen for me as well this morning
I woulda tried this out last nite when i got home but i was at my born-on-date party and crashed when i got home but im down to try again when u r ready :-)

on a side note: im having some serious issues trying to decompile the systemui.apk for this device.. anyone have any advice? i tried everything i know of.. im using pure stock de-odex framework & systemui apk's i installed the stock framework but still cant decompile the stock systemui. which is a big problem..

I cant decompile the Contacts.apk either. Ive loaded every framework they have and it errors out everytime and used every contacts.apk I could find.
 
Awesome we got idrifta here as well thanks for all the hard work buddy and congrats on creating the rom. Will be very glad and happy to test the rom out. And when I saw the post lol I thought I came to my old esteem's forum, then I was like holy sh-t connect has another rom

yeah i had a chat with some people and it seems we may have to wait for an apktool update or something lol cant get anything to work.. so the best i can do is provide a themed/slightly modded version of stock rom or broken out is mt dont mind.. still have all the tweaks and theme just wont get the swipe to clear mod and stuff.. lol

What do you mean brick? Is it stuck at the lg screen when you try to boot? If so all you gotta do is take the battery out. Put it back in and hold down the volume down button and press power button, holding both for about five seconds until it asks you if you want to do a factory reset. Press power button for yes and just restore your backup file if you have one. If you didn't make a backup the you can just download one from the stickied thread on here and place it on you sd car cwm folder in backup.

As in bricked, I mean it won't turn on at all.
 
Can you upload to dropbox or 4shared? Mediafire doesn't work for me it jist starts download and stops right away saying it is complete. I've tried a couple different browsers with same result.
 
lol thanks for trying tho! glad to know there is still some work being done for the connect. and im not sure it just stays on the boot screen:(
 
Didnt boot for me either, I tried pulling the battery a few times but still no luck. Thx for ur hard wrk on this ROM for this phone, I see tht its the most popular for the Esteem and I can't wait to actually have it running on my Connect.
