this is not a rom, so im guessing you wiped data and flashed this theme lol it's only a portion of a rom, so you need to flash a rom first, then this theme

as for the guy who's wife's phone is having issues.. i would suggest to manually wipe cache & dallvik cache in recovery mode, then in your device settings go to applications>downloaded and uninstall any market updates, and wipe the market data.. she may have to re-sign into google afterwards but will not lose any old txt's or call log entries etc..

and if that dont work than just re-flash #2 1.5, then the theme right after it but DO NOT wipe data before hand so she doesn't lose anything lol

worst case scenario you will have to wipe her data and reflash everything, but that way will be a garuntee to work as you're proof that it works ;)
 
Hey LD i just wanna say thank u and great work with this my phone is smooth and fast and I'm loving it now that everythings settled down, it boots up on avg. in just under 2 and a half mins which is nice. But i was also wondering if u might b working on the unleashed speed kernel for us connect owners? Its no big thing if ur not seeing as how u don't have a connect to test it on i was just curious is all. Thanks again for ur hard work on this great rom. :-)

Right on bro no worries when u get around to it u get around to it i know u been busy on the esteem, i was just curious is all. I've been tryin to convince my wife to let me play with her esteem and put #2 on it cause she keeps complaining about the battery sucking so bad (hers is stock and not rooted) and i have been reading the thread for this rom on the esteem side and it seams like they r getting some good battery life on ur rom, but getting her to let me play with her phone is like trying to pull a tooth out of a grisly bear lolol. But any way there's no hurry on that ill b here and ready when u/its ready to go :-) thanks LD
 
I just updated to 1.5 from 1.4. I also like the messaging app theme from 1.4 better. I really liked the "+MSG" it had a nice minimalistic charm to it.

Thus far that is my one and only gripe. Thanks so much for your awesome work on this rom, keep up the great work!

Hi. This is my first post here, but i've been reading here for a a bit.

Anyway, I flashed rom #2 1.4, from stock/rooted, and found that video playback on streaming apps like netfllix, slingplayer and Crackle would be choppy and go out of sync quite noticeably. I'm using juice Defender, so I thought that might be an issue with that, but I run J.D. on stock/rooted with no problems.

Anyone else notice this?, suggestions? I'd like to be able to use a custom rom, but this is a pretty big thing for me.

What do you have the max/min CPU set at? Maybe its set just a little to low?
 
Hello,

I was finally able to successfully pair my bluetooth with my car using post #415 as a workaround fix. Problem is after streaming 3 songs from pandora, it starts to clip and then goes mute. shortly after that it won't connect anymore unless I restart phone.

The Bluetooth files I backed up from pure stock root to restore after v1.5 are:
1. Bluetooth pairings
2. bluetooth share 2.3.6
3. BrcmBluetoothservices 1.0
4. Settings storage ...S/BLUETOOTH)


I have a feeling I restored more files than necessary.. maybe only needed bluetooth pairings??

Can someone confirm which bluetooth system files I should have backed up./restored to get pairing and streaming working on v1.5 correctly?

BTW despite the BT issues, I can't get enough of this ROM. Speed and looks are just phenomenal. So grateful for this community.
 
I unfortunately have had no luck. It is actually very frustrating as I am really loving this ROM. I guess I'm one of the few if not the only dunce here that seems to not get it working. And I really need my BT to work otherwise I can't make full use of this ROM (I pair at work with speakers, car, and occasionally other devices)

I am following the directions from post#1 verbatim, I have been going going back and forth between my pure stock root, v1.4, and v1.5 successfully. Heck I've gotten very proficient at it. I have even gone as far as not installing any other apps before trying the bluetooth first. Everything else works fine except bluetooth, I mean everything lol Yet it always works on pure stock root like clockwork


  • On freshly wiped and flashed Number_2 ROM, I keep getting PIN fail errors and more often than not: "The applications settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again". Immediately after trying to pair.
  • And if I restore those backed up files as my previous post, the bluetooth works for a minute, clips the audio streaming, then cuts off. Can't pair again and if I try more than once it actually restarts.

Have u tried backing up ur bt settings (paired to all the devices u need them to b paired with) on bone stock with titanium backup and then restoring the bt data from the titbu after u flashed either 1.4-1.5 ?

my first guess woul be to get your hands on a completely pure copy of stock settings.apk and push it to the device, if that dont fix it than im out of ideas..
 
I had issues when I was restoring with TB, and I solved it by restoring all user apps and manually de-selecting anything that looked remotely system, including BT settings, pairings, etc. After that I haven't experienced any issues since.
 
Bluetooth don't work for my car navigation. Force close when trying to pair. Bluetooth works fine with my tablet though.
 
Just downloaded the rom love it not to crazy about lg keyboard but can get around it but when using the keyboard in my browser i hear the clicking sound when typing any way to turn that off i went into settings and cant find it

it's in language & keyboard settings or sound settings
 
Are you guys doing clean installs or flashing over stock?

I committed to #2 and wiped/formatted everything before installing 1.1, and lived without Bluetooth till 1.3 came out. As of 1.3 with a completely clean install, Bluetooth has been flawless.

I flashed mine over bp rom wiped dcache and backed up the rom have not tried bt yet
