Root [ROM]{MS840} Number_Two v1.8 ~ ZVA

ldrifta,

I am having alot of troubles with your rom, inconsistent battery usage. unable to pair to my phone and cannot copy any data to internal device memory.

i really hope KANAIDA can get the next ROM right, so far BP and this no. 2 rom are too glitchy for regular use. IMO of course....

yeah i know about the BT issue.. having some trouble figuring that out without a device to test on.. i dont know what you mean about the internal storage.. if i remember correctly the connect does not have an internal sd... but if you like i got an update you can test out?

Right on, I use tsf shell so I just keep whatever launcher that comes with the rom as a backup. But everything flashed ok on my end other that it hanging at the 1st lg logo for a min, but after that it booted fine and is running smooth for me just like 1.5 did. I do have 1 question tho, r u gonna port ur speed unleashed kernel for this? I think u may have already answered that question but I forgot sorry
 
The pull dwn notibar is transparent so maybe the poster tht doesn't have it might have some of his old rom tht carried over. I dnt see tht many issues, the only things I see are the icons still gather to the left side of the notibar when in landscape, the typing box when txtn is only showing one line of txt which makes it tough to proof read lol, and if possible some battery improvement tweaking. Oh!! and ldrifta, thx for coming bk to us :D you knw I'm dwn to test the hell out of some sh... for ya ;)
 
I just thought of something we r missing, or at least I miss, is the swipe to clear notifications. That's if its not to much of a pita for u to get on our phones and the mod for the power menu with the option to boot into recovery and take screen shots. Those would b awesome to have, at the least, the swipe to clear noti. if nothing else. But don't beat urself up if its to much trouble. I know u don't have a connect so anything u provide for us is greatly appreciated. Thx L

i believe i tried the swype to clear thing but had no luck.. but i forget so ill try again lol, icons in the noti bar? you mean the widget thing with buttons right? because noti icons are supposed to go left lol, but if its what i think you're reffering too... i do remember a fix for that on esteem, ill have to look into it ;)

annnd the Mms... lol sorry guys, totally jacked that up!! gonna fix it for ya as well :D

Loving your work dude! I would like the power menu mod if that's not a big problem.:D and thanks again for your time and work!
 
Ldrifta you are correct it's the toggles for wifi, sound/vibe, bt... it doesn't bother me at all im just giving some feedback since you were asking :) the mms wrks it's just tht the compose window only shows 1 or 2 lines of txt at a time, again this is only feedback please dnt take these as complaints, I luv and appreciate all of wrk homie thx for wut you do.

regarding internal/built in storage... I see this site states that there should be some 1.9gb available to user. But when using Astro and File explorer would not allow me to copy or add any folders to the root of the device.. any idea where this 1.9gb is?

Data folder is what I believe you are looking for

lol it's not what you think... like jpizle said that 1.9 is considered your data, and it's use-able only for like downloading apps etc from the device itself.. but for you to just simply move one file anywhere in that data partition you would need to use adb or that android commander thing... for you to actually store files of your own liking you would need to purchase an external sd card 32g max i believe..
 
Really loving 1.5...wanted to see the new launcher and any other tweaks in 1.6...

Do I need to do a full wipe going from 1.5 to 1.6? Not a huge deal, but re-installing all the apps is just a minor pain that would be lovely to avoid...

it's not required, but greatly reccomend it!! some other devs aren't fond of tha data wipes but i think a rom runs best and can be fullt appreciated from a true fresh start each time :D then if you have issues i can surely help more with a freshly installed device

Hello ldrifta,

No beuno.... did file wipe, cache wipe and still getting app crash when trying to pair.
 
I will install 1.6 shortly when I am not using my phone much and can trouble shoot things if shit hits the fan or something... I have downloaded it on my phone, all I need to do is flash it.

I will try to pair some things after it flashes successfully, and let you know whats up.
 
Just tried flashing v1.6 on my phone...I'm stuck in the installing process

Formatting...
Installing Files...
Symlinks...
Permissions...

been there for about 7 minutes now. Should I start again?

EDIT: I decided to pull the battery...turned it on again and it seems like the ROM did install. Any idea why I was stuck in Permissions...?
