Root [ROM][MS870] Katana

I just un installed the old version and installed a fresh copy of the new version.
Worked that way. I don't see why when it updates that the backup of the original would cause the phone to say there wasn't enough internal memory.
 
Candy crush saga is a crap app. Sometimes when it updates it can't remove the old version so it comes up as not enough space. Same as an odexed rom when apps update, but old odex file is left behind which doesn't allow the update.

Not the phone's or rom's fault. Just poorly written app.

Anyways you can try troubleshooting games in your thread if you like, since it fits the situation better. :p Sorry, just don't want this to turn into a game troubleshooting thread. This thread has been way off topic lately.

Welp nothing special, but I made an Insecure Custom Kernel.

This kernel will allow you to remove any app on the phone without bricking. Now you will be able to debloat to the point where if the phone farts it will disappear. lol

Now for us geeks, it will allow ADB always as root. Now you will be able to write to filesystem amongst other things, essentially having the full power of ADB.

I'll be posting the kernel soon along with the new ROM. ;)

Oh no no no. I never said anything about overclocking. My custom kernel is just an insecure kernel. See details in my previous post.

Now if you are asking in general then I have no idea. Fact is that overclocking kills battery much faster and also depends on how you use your phone.
 
our phones are already clocked up pretty good. I think you'd probably crash the phone if you overclocked it more.
 
Does anyone know a good video edit app to use on this ROM? I tried to install VideoWiz and Video Editor that came stock on the spirit but I can't get them to install now on this ROM, no clue why but need to find a good edit and creation app. I have AndroVid Pro but you can't add pics or effects in that

I think to install those apps on this rom you will need to copy those apks to the system/app folder then restart.
 
Yeah Jason I tried that with and without odex and still no go. They dont even show up in apps. Wierd.
 
Hey guys, kind of crazy but today I wanted to edit a video of my daughter so I decided to reinstall the original video editor from LG and I was able to do so.
This is what I did. Since I have all the Katana zip versions on my phone I went to Katana version 2 zip and extracted two apps video clip and video editor, when you do so you'll find them under the Speed Software folder. I copy them to system/apps folder and I didn't even had to restart the phone. Hope this can help. Let me know if I can help. If you need the apps that I extracted from the Katana version 2 know.

Then I wonder why it didn't work for agltech? I even suggested the same thing but he said it didn't work for him.

Sure I'll take a copy of em :)
 
I'm able to install vidclip and video editor but vidwiz force closes even after changing permissions.... strange am I missing something??
