Root [ROM] MTDEV-GB build 20120829 [BETA]

I know 3G is a big deal but this ROM can be a real deal. Add HDMI on the top of that it will look like it came directly from Motorola itself as official update. Heck with Moto, with GPS fixes it can be better.

kinda how i was thinking lol the mtdev-official-gb-update lol, but i wouldnt mind if it was this one or CM7, i love all work the team does but the user customization thats in the CM versions always calls me back lol

This ROM has really grown on me, it does have issues of course because of MMS, SMS, and 3G however after making some changes to some of the base apps it's working a lot better and the battery life is crazy nuts. If you opt to use this ROM I would highly recommend using Notification Toggle. It allows the ability to toggle Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Flashlight, and Power Menu so you can Reboot, Reboot into Recovery, Reboot into Bootloader, or Shutdown. All from the Notification window. I did try to add these features into hacking the frameworks.jar but have not had any luck yet as there is a lot of smali hacking that needs to line up perfect.

I've done the reboot and recovery options in a couple of gingerbread roms ill try to get it going on this but I don't have an abundance of time so it might take me a little while. I'm hoping someone else could take on the quickpanel. Ill see if I can get both working but everyone feel free to jump in.

Just curious g60madman, do you ever sleep or are you some sort of Vampire? :p

LMAO of course. You know Einstien only slept like 3-4 hours a day. Im sleeping about 5-6 which is more than perfect for me. I decided to hit the hay at 10:30pm last night and im dragging today. It what I get for slepping more than 6 hours. But this always happens when I sleep to much just can't get going.

More like a fairy :)

Haha to much, think I like the Vampire better. Sucking the suck out the Triumph :)

whats 3g and sms and mms gonna take?

I havent messed with this stuff in awhile... Didnt use it so i had to lose it... Anyway, isnt it in the frameworks.jar file eding with smali could fix, if we had an AOSP soursefile right? How about othe VM GB phones? Like the elite or something similar? ZSorry, I'm dead tired, and still have to do the night shift.. :alberteinstein:

Nice work I'll be looking forward to seeing it! Been focused on the kernel right now for cm9, however if you get that completed I'll spend some time on the data.
Now that I have a little more framework experience, I decided to take another crack at my GB build. I have everything "telephony" worked into the framework and got through all the phone force closes and boot loops, but now there is no service. Now it says no sim card instead of no ruim card. I think I may be getting close. I think I just need to revert a few things, and fix framework-res. Good luck on the kernel!

Thanks guys, it's still gonna take a while, don't want your legs falling asleep. :D

Don't count on ever getting FM on the Triumph. I am almost positive that we have a different bluetooth chipset than the other X6 variants, and the BT chip is where the FM is. We might and there may be a chance but basically everything except BT works on all of the other X6 variant ROMs, so like I said, don't count on it ever working.

What's up guys so I'm having problems with the android.policy.jar file while trying to edit it for reboot and recovery options so I'm going to post a zip of the files I edited and hopefully we can put our heads together and get this done.thanks in advance for the help.

Edit: Do not not flash this. This is for experienced devs only and is not a flasable zip.
