Root [ROM] MTDEV-MIUIv4 build 20130102 [BETA]

Yeah I was thinking exactly the same thing, the MIUI ROM has working battery stats and the cell standby isnt out of the roof like it is with the CM7 roms. I extracted the power_profile.xml from the MIUI framework and PMed it to G60 to put into CM9. If you want it you can find it here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1098942/power_profile.xml
just drop it into your overlay

I'm just glancing at it now, but it looks like the one from the galaxy nexus.

Yeah, tha battery is set for 1500. We have 1380.

I found an app that will allow me to try to build up a proper power_profile.xml file.

I need to try to convert the data it has into something I can use.

Came to the realization that I could actually test whether adjusting the voltage would affect battery consumption or if it's a placebo effect.

Netflix works but when I try to watch something it loads and then you can only hear the audio for 5s and then it stops and there's not video its all black .. :/
That's the only minor problem that I found

Miui Google now and snap chat app. Thought I'd share. Love this Rom. Thank you.

Side note. Got snap chat idea from cm9 thread.

MiuiHome crashes on page 3.

Reporting stuff says:

miuihome has stopped java.lang.outofmemoryerror at andoid.graphics.bitmap.nativeCreate(native Method) at andoid.graphics.. etc

(sorry not sure how to cut and paste).

Anything I can do?

First thing. I would reload you ROM as I haven't seen that posted yet. Second. I'm hijacking this post because I'm about half way done with a proper power_profile.xml
I got rid of powertuter as it just didn't work. I read one of the most important posts we have on our phone (even though it goes to all smartphones) About power conservation by Whyzor. He had current widget listed on there and it took me a little while to make a game plan, but I think I have figured out how to isolate the different parts.

And yes, I can say with confidence that changing the voltage will affect battery consumption. I have proof.

is the camera taking pics?

No, sadly. In CM9, you can take pics in panorama, but the same does not apply to MIUI. But, I am sure once the camera is fixed in CM9, it will be in our MIUI ROM soon after :D

EDIT: Actually to clarify, it will display on-screen, so yes it does. But you can't save pics yet.

Found 2 problems.
WiFi keeps cutting off or I have to reboot to connect to it.
Chrome doesn't display anything.
Awesome ROM though

Not sure why but I can't flash this rom. I had it on my phone once before but 3g wouldn't work so I got rid of it. Downloaded again and now when I flash, it either sticks at The Motorola logo or boots back into recovery. Any ideas
? I've downloaded several times with no luck. I'm using the twrp recovery if it helps. Thanks!

Had the same issue. I flashed Paranoid 1.6 first then flashed MIUI and it worked. Not sure what the issue is going from CM7 to this version of MIUI is but there is something that makes it catch on the motorola logo.

I used to do as follows:

1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Clear cache
3. Clear dalvik cache
4. Format System, Data, Cache

but I have been told that with the Triumph it is actually NOT a good idea to format the System partition. Doing so is a habit that I got into when I still had my Optimus V. And in fact, I have had issues when I have formatted System that only seem to go away after flashing a .zip (doesn't seem to matter which one).

If you use b_randon's CWM recovery (I am running 6.0.1.5) then you should have no problems with MIUI. The only thing you need to do is wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache & dalvik, and then flash the MIUI ROM and gapps.

Correct, and wiping the system can also delete root access as well in some cases.

I only think it happens if you root from using the terminal method as you are just setting up symlinks in the system partition. Think the ginger break method does something more but not 100%
