Root [ROM] MTDEV-UNROOT [final]

well my charger port went and got another phone coming in the mail thanks for this does it change boot images and shut down animations?

Can I activate my phone from this rom since it's stock?

Thank you g60madman and the rest of the MTDEV team for all of your hard work! You never cease to amaze me!

Just did this, first time I've been stock since I bought the phone a year ago. Got the galaxy s 2 in route, the triumph goes to the wife to replace the optimus v. I'll flash this back to cm7. I loved cm 9. Really, stock isn't horrible, lol

Great job! At first I had trouble trying to access the download screen to reinstall cwm. But instead I kept on getting the Android System Recovery 3e. My flaw was I kept on hitting doth buttons at once.

downloaded the stock rom, booted into CWM and ran install from zip (backups and restore couldnt find it), and now it is stuck on the Motorola red logo... Any idea on what is going on?

Probably a bad flash. Pull your SDcard and redownload the ROM. On top of that, if you did the UNROOT, put a custom recovery on there and the UNROOT puts the stock recovery on.
I use the Stock.zip. It doesn't have the recovery part.

Thanks! Got it working again. All fresh now!

Had to flash stock to activate my old phone for my mom's account, now that I have done so, going to probably flash her new(old) Triumph to the latest and greatest ROM.

I may pass along my Triumph to my son who currently has his own old VM phone. If I do this and move on to the Galaxy, do I need to restore the phone back to stock for him to transfer his phone number to my old Triumph or can I somehow leave it rooted?

Thanks!

Yeah, it would need to be on the stock ROM. If you look at the website you will see two versions of the UNROOT ROM. The stock one is for those who just want to transfer the phone to another number or compare against stock as it doesn't change the recovery. The other will also change the recovery.

PS: you don't need to change the recovery to activate the phone, just have the stock ROM running.

is there an way to do an complete clear wipe of phone before flashing unroot rom...i noticed it does not totally clean the whole phone cause when i went in and changed the recovery file it still had files i put in there 3 months ago...any ideas to do an full complete wipe of phone before flashing to get rid of everything

the UNROOT ROM will just change the two files in the mobile folder. It won't remove any files that you put in there. As for anything else, it should clear it out, except the phone numbers.
