Root [ROM] Myn's Warm Z

your phone is only a few weeks old too?

just wondering of you are using the new recovery.. and or need a up date to your radio
 
new phone.. so it should have all the new radios...

link to the root method you used..?
i dont know why it dont work.
 
Be sure u are not using ClockworkMod 3.0 and you disable signature verification.


Also, when I flashed back to this ROM I went ahead and cleared everything twice. Works perfect. Just sucks bc I cracked my screen again (two times in two months)
 
I used the rooting for dummies guide and I manually tried flashing it. Also whenever I try wiping the dalvik cache it always says that the file path is unknown or something like that and I have to wipe it again for it to say the cache was wiped.
 
For this rom myn says to update my radios. I got my evo a few months ago and just flashed this rom and it works fine. Do I still need to update my radios?
 
hey guys i flashed this rom 2 days ago and i love it. the only thing i didnt like was that when im using it it kills my battery. it drops 2-3% every minute or 2... i installed setcpu and that helps when i have the screen off or if the battery is below 25% bc i set up profiles... does any1 know why it kills my battery when im using it?

Unmodified Myn's Warm Z TwoPointTwo (RLS1) rom with included kernel on an Evo with HW version 0002.

Can anyone suggest a better keyboard? I cannot fathom how anyone uses a keyboard with a "." right next to the space key. Isn't it easier to just double tap space? I type so quickly that all.my.text messages.look.like this. Also, is there an option to add a space after selecting a word from the dictionary? In what situation would you not space after selecting a complete word?

Final gripe on the keyboard; punctuation. The MIUI keyboard suggests common punctuation above the keyboard after selecting a word like a question or exclamation mark. For being pretty fast at pecking (I cannot get used to Swype) the MIUI keyboard was just perfect, but that ROM just wasn't doing it for me. Myn's Warm Z is a really cool rom but the keyboard falls pretty short of what I'm used to, but maybe I'm the only one who see's these as complaints?

Moving on to actual bugs, my Exchange account emails tend to stop displaying text when I open them. If I reboot, I'll be able to read the messages, but it seems like after a few minutes they just come up blank until I reboot again.

Lastly, Facebook uploads and not-so-great battery. I think my pictures are just too large, (probably 3MP if that's the default setting on the camera) but should it really fail halfway through? And my battery drains much more quickly compared to MIUI.

I really want to stay with a solid rom, (MIUI has it's different, but existent shortcomings too).

It seems really difficult to get a reliable rom, but that's the Android way I suppose.

Switched default to 3MP instead of 8, that may have been the issue with uploading pictures. Also switched to the free Gingerbread keyboard in the market, still has the pesky "." but I seem to be more accurate with this one.

Lastly, I switched to netarchy-toastmod-4.3.4-cfs-havs-less-nosbc-universal as my kernel to give it a shot at battery life. Will also see if it fixes my issue with Exchange.

I think they are automatically built at 12/1 am nightly. I just recently flashed the 3/24/11 nightly. So are the nightlies since 3/18 just the same build? I ask because I have to rebuild (data mod, clear clock, lock pin & 4.3.4 kernal) everytime. I decide to upgrade my nightly which is usually every other day. Thanks Dan330.


Guess I need to check the change log :)
