Root [ROM] Nov-13 MeanROM ICS v6.3 | 2.13.651.1 | Mods | Batt saver | OC 1.7 Ghz

The rom puts a folder on sdcard, not THE sd card though, labeled MeanRom-ICS.

The 360 landscape rosie is a zip in there you flash in recovery.
 
Is anyone else getting a problem with the Wi-Fi tether in this ROM? I have been able to see the network (takes some time for it to show up though), but its been hard to connect and definitely no data is being sent between the network and Computer. I tried this with my laptop and iPad, same result for each.

I'm on v6 at the moment and I'm very happy with the battery life. About 12 hours off the charger and light use only took me down to 86%
 
V6 is the newest, and battery life seems fine.


As far as wifi tether... The build.prop hack is spotty at times. Have you tried simply turning it off and back on?

I don't use it much so I can't say anything else about it really.

Yes, I did a reboot as well and in the show log sometime it will have errors loading different drivers etc... but even when the log shows that everything loaded fine I haven't been able to connect.

Just flashed version 6 and love the 360 Rosie. I flashed the menu remap to the recent apps button, I just wish the menu button on the screen would go away.

That's an easy fix. Just flash the universal hit and run button remap zip. It makes the recent apps button into the menu button. And others.
 
Wow he just updated to 7. What a beast. I am going to flash it. Still on v3 and have 60% battery left after 1 day and 8 hours.

Go into your build.prop
Go to the last line.
Remove the "#" from that line. (not the actual number)
Save
Reboot
Profit


I'm assuming you have the ability to edit and save your build.prop
 
I'm not sure I like devs baking in the hacked wallet apk.

last night was the first time I ran 0.7 overnight just to see. Went to bed at 1am and got up at 8:30am. At 1am the battery was at 76%. When I woke up at 8:30am: still 76%! And it had been retrieving emails and all the normal stuff overnight.

I haven't been planning on using the wallet in the first place. I have enough ways to spend money already.

If I don't turn it on and use it, no prob, right? and, can't you just freeze it with TB anyway? I think I did that already, running v.6 and it isn't in there now.

I'm going for it! :)
 
didn't even notice that. I went with the landscape one because I wanted that. not sure what difference is.

The funny thing is that today Google play had an update for google wallet. I'm not sure if it fixed it or not because I haven't tried wallet yet but it would be interesting to see if it did indeed fix it. I am waiting until I get settled with the ROM I like and leave my phone alone before I use Wallet. So far I really like MeanROM (on v6), but am having minor issues with the Wi Fi tether not working and my Camera focus is inconsistent. Getting ready to try v7.
 
I also am wondering if some things have been baked in this ROM that aren't mentioned (ex. Video FPS fix and and the Apply Tyranny hyperlink fix)? The reason I wonder is because with this rom it seems to handle hyperlinks the same as my OG EVO.

Good question. I am going to play more with 7 tomorrow, but I just flashed it and it runs great. 360 mode is killer. I need to flash the Rosie tomorrow for landscape. If. He baked in all that stuff I am excited. Version 3 sold me on the ltevo so far, and 7 is fixing about very small issue there was left.

Seriously glad I passed on the galaxy s3. I just don't think this phone will be topped when rooted.maybe I'm wrong, but this feels like a better phone in hand and the screen is better to me as well.

Correct. Just wipe dalvik cache & cache


(and actually the ROM wipes that on its own so its not required, but a good habit to get into if your going to try to flash updates that way)

As long as you don't wipe data everything will stay
