So what does this mean? "New unsecured boot image w/ramdisk tweaks"

Why would you want that and what does it do? and what is wireless adb?

Unsecured boot image is required to modify kernels for people who are HTC dev unlocked (I think)

Wireless adb is probably being able to use adb wirelessly :p

I concur.

For command syntax to initiate connection, see the adb wireless app in the Store.

Wireless adb is a kind of luxury and good for incidental work - serious adb users will probably want a hard-wired connection. ;)

Was poking around at the XDA home of the MeanRom and noticed folk talking about GoogleNow. supposedly it is a more better version of the Iphone's Siri app.

This is a link to the xda post where member there posted a link to the app. It does work pretty good! xda-developers - View Single Post - The Google Now for ICS Project. [UPDATE 7/19][VOICE WORKAROUND][APK AND ZIP]

It does do away with the ability for the homescreen page to go to landscape mode, but I nanded and flashed and have been pleasantly surprised at how well it works!
Landscape still works in apps though!

look at the link I posted. that guy linked to a flashable zip. I went into twrp and wiped cache and Dalvic cache and installed it!

Edit: 2.7 is up and it has it already looks lik!

At this point its the only ROM (other than JB ones) that has it baked in. Up to you Early.

Edit: I lied, there are others now.

So i rooted my phone and installed Meanrom today. One thing i don't like is not having the icon showing if i have my GPS turned on/off at the top. What is the best way to get that back? I really only care to see the icon when it's on but if i have to have both, that's fine.

Thanks!

I didn't see any zip to flash for that in the MeanIcs folder. There are a bunch in there to do various things but not one for that.

There are so many pages in the thread over there at xda there may be something in one of the posts, but I don't remember having seen it.

That gps icon being hidden is supposed to be a feature! :)

Leaving the GPS ON is completely fine. It only drains battery when it is actually being used. That is why most developers have gotten rid of the icon in the status bar.

You will still see a GPS icon when it is actually being used and using battery

I knew the GPS is only on when it's needed but i didn't know it would show up still. I guess i would have figured that out when i used an app that needed GPS. I was thinking that there would be no notification at all when GPS was on/off/being used. So i'm ok with it now that i know that.

Thanks!
