Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Anybody else getting fc's with 2.4 in;

Tune in radio
Adobe reader

Tune in launches and all goes well until i hit play. Then i get the fc warning. If i ignore it it goes ahead and plays! Weird.

In reader they are just random....
 
Even though Im no longer using Number Two roms, v2.1 seem to be the version to rule them all....Im not sure of the edits made cuz the entire changelog isn't available but as of 2.2 and beyond, anything data related takes a huge performance hit...kinda what u would expect on a G1 running an alpha of ICS...ldrifta or doing a great job man, but if it ain't broke bro don't fix it :)

Yeah same thing here with TuneIn and getting fc on Gemini as well whereas I had no fc's on 2.2

lol thanks, i actually haven't really changed anything major in the last 2 versions.. o and the whole changelog is available, you just have to click the 'show' button..

the main difference of thse last few updates is removing some of the themed apk's and replacing with stock, which actually made them perform much better since was no errors or anything for them to open..

and the funny thing is they always work great for me.. im not sure if it's the hosting site or just individual devices but honestly it seems like with every new release, comes new issues that are always irrelevant to what was updated.. so my honest opinion is if you did NOT wipe data & cache and format internal sd.. than all your issues are user-end related, because me and a few other people seem to never come accross these issues that everyone else does..

im not trying to sound like a dick or anything but it's true.. ill release an update with a minor theme change and all a sudden people are complaining that there music wont play.. so it's like what the hell am i supposed to do about that? my music plays just fine lol... gets stressful when it's always a problem that can easily be solved by wiping and formatting everything for a fresh clean start ;)
 
i never had issues like what these people are having. they probable have to do a factory reset and wipe. This ROM works fine to me. No issues on anything

I always do a complete wipe of the system-the best way to give the update a true chance IMO. Would have to agree with "individual device" theory:). The battery life is the same as previous stable versions and 2.4 is definitely more responsive than 2.3.

I have Tune In Radio Pro, actually the first time Ive used it since I got it for 10 cents on the market months and months and months ago, and I have zero issues with it.

I did tho, as ldrifta suggested, formatted and literally wiped everything down to my external sd card (backed that up on the comp and swapped it back) But I didnt save or reuse anything on the internal

i know :D thanks for the support bro, im not just trying to pick on you or any individual person, there are a few people who are not members on here so they dont read what needs to be read lol than they make a new membership just to complain lol, and other people are just cocky and think if something is wrong it MUST be the rom and nothing they did.. lol as for you... i think you got a lemon lol, your device seems to be very sensative lol, same with my girl's connect.. i put pg's bp rom on it for her but it needed like 12 app updates, so i re-packed rom with all updated apps and it would NOT run on the device, just kept fc and boot looping no matter how minor the change was.. was pissing me off so bad lol

LOL..same thing with alittle's esteem(my oldest son-if ya'll didn't know already). It hates #2 in general-he keeps asking me what I'm doing with it but it just hates his esteem:(
On the bright side it should make PG proud-his esteem loves the Black Plauge rom/kernel:p

haha yeah i love his rom, well the newer version i dont think it's released yet LOL but my dvice isn't too fond of his kernel.. after sitting for a while it seems ok, but at first it is just extremely laggy and seems to hate me.. lol thats why i stick with speed kernel... it was meant to only be temporary untill pg or mt made a oc'able kernel.. but my device doesn't like them... freakin weird lol

Ya know gotta have that speed(overclocking)...the speed one is more then sufficient .
I've never formatted the internal before here. Strange how tunein as said fc but still plays on-phones have a mind of their own I tell ya :rofl:
Edit: just caught that-what new ROM :confused::p

no i mean new update.. basically the connect bp theme on esteem version. lol nothing NEW just updated.. but im not sure what path pg wants to take with finishing it up.. im not going to release anything of his so it's up to him
 
Idk y my internal in external use to read fast now its hella slow. I formated my sd card nd its the same thing. I don't want to mess with my internal. Should i just go with an old 2.1 backup?? I went to my 2.3 backup nd was hella slow when before it read fast. I did a full wiped when i installed 2.4 rom. :(
