I guess I might of taken some extra steps when I flashed this rom. Is the way I am to understand is that all I have to do is flash the rom and it does the rest? The first line in the flashing instructions reads that the rom is set to format the sys, cache, and dalvik. #3 says to wipe data, cache, dalvik. Can be a little confusing.

To all the people having bluetooth problems I had the same problem couldn't pair my nexus 7 to my esteem but i just fixed it doing this : 1) Go to fuzzys stock theme thread http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/558354-theme-zvd-stock-theme.html and download the second one. 2) Extract it with 7zip or winzip and navigate to ZVD Fully Stock Theme\system\app and copy settings.apk to your sd card. 3) Using either root explorer or solid explorer navigate to your sd card and copy the settings.apk you just took from fuzzys theme and paste it in system/app if it says it already exists do you want to replace say yes. 4) Reboot your phone and now you can pair again. Hope this helps because it fixed it for me.

The one is in the OP is diffrent from the one i linked. Try my suggestion it fixed it for me and circtest.

I downloaded 2.5.3 this morning, md5 sums match. I have flashed it three times, each time says it was successful. Each time the About phone info says I am still on 2.5.2
Is that not being updated? Is there some other way I can confirm whether or not I am on 2.5.3 vice 2.5.2? Or is something else going on?

statusbar fix -
mms change/fix
If any of these looks different.... than your on the latest!
Dev may have forgotten to change a 2 to a 3 in the build prop. There is a lot involved in putting this stuff together... and sometimes ya miss little things.

I would really like to donate something to you but times are a little rough right now. The only thing i can donate is my time. If you need help with anything else let me know brother. I won't be able to get another phone any time soon but with the work you are doing on this phone it is so much better than stock it is unbelievable. IMO this is by far the best rom and kernal for this phone. I appreciate what you are doing to make my esteem much better.

Huston we have a problem ... didn't notice if anyone has posted but you can't use no root explorer with your rom not even the one from the file explorer offered in the rom . I tried to change it from read only to r/w . Anything i can do to get it to work

File explorer didn't work for me. Root explorer got the job done though.
