Don't mean to be dumb ldrifta but you lost me on the adb thing or a fix to the tethering issue on 1.5

adb is the android debugging bidge, allows you to transfer files in and out of system without using zip files in recovey etc.. there are other ways of getting the app to system/app tho im just not sure

nope it was the ROM I flashed earlyer today when someone was saying tethering wasn't working.

instagram is an messaging program using pictures instead of txt, it was only on Iphone till last month, now android has it to annoy the f out of people too

o so you flashed the 1.3 version so you could get tethering? because it wont work on that lol the rom has been changed a lot since 1.3, the systemui.apk in that mod is from 1.5 so it will only work with that version sorry

no no , I flashed 1.5 when the guys where saying tethering wasn't working for them, I was curiuse if it was something in the rom or something they where doing.

I my self have been using the theme version over my stock rom, and then did a flash of the updated rom to see what was up with the tethering, and made a back up of it.... got what i be sayin?

now that i think of it, I think i might have put the plague kernel over it, wonder if that would make a dif.

I'm at work now and i don't have my back up phone with me, I don't want to fool around with the esteem to much here. I'll do a fresh install when i get home.

nah the kernel shouldn't affect anything, the only files i had to edit were framework.jar and systemui.apk, they both worked fine and i used the same exact install zip thats posted on OP

It was me having the tethering issues. But Mr pnut helped me it was the tethering that I was missing for some reason only That particular app worked which us the tether app that came with the 1.3 ROM

wifi tether? i tired it on this rom and it woudln't work
