ok now i have another problem i flashed the Gapps to get the Google apps and i turn on my phone and then it starts and comes up the set up wizard and when that starts it just force close and then i cant do anything with my phone

Is everyone still using #18 and #21 kernel? Or has something better come a long...

I'm sorry if this has already been asked...

1. Is there an FM Radio that can be added to this ROM; and,
2. Also need DSP Manager...

I thought there was supposed to be a built-in equalizer, but the Sound tab in Settings is non-functional. Anyone else experience this, or is this a known issue?

I'm sorry in advance if these questions are redundant... just very short on time being able to read through this entire thread.

Dumb newbie question, how can I delete some of the old Rom backups on my SD card to free up some some space?

Trust me, there are NO dumb questions... and if there were, I already asked t hem! :o

I will tell you how I would do it...

1. Open ROM Manager
2. Go to Manage and Restore Backups
3. Find the files you want to delete and delete them. (long press on the file)

OR

1. Mount your Droid to your computer (this allows you to browse the contents of your SD Card);

2. You should see the files. When you see them, delete them.

3. Un-mount your Droid

Whichever you're most comfortable with will work!

Never mind... Going back to CyanogenMod 6.1.

The biggest problem I had with OMGB is that it apparently has a conflict with Swype. Swype would not install properly... installed, uninstalled, re-installed, would not generate a license, and then a very annoying window kept popping up that WN (or something like that) encountered a problem and had to forceclose. This kept happening. Could not do a single thing, even after rebooting, without that crazy window popping up like crazy.

So I rebooted in to ClockworkMod Recovery to restore CM6, and it would only go as far as the first stage (can't remember what that was), and then it would freeze. Kept doing that. Wiping did not help. Still froze when trying to restore. The wipe did get rid of that annoying popup when I rebooted back into OMGB.

I'm installing a fresh CM6 right now (apps are downloading) since I couldn't restore it. I don't know... that function of CWRecovery just doesn't function anymore, and I don't know how to fix it yet, but at least I can perform clean installs.

Strange, I have been running Swype without issue on OMGB since before Christmas! Have you changed browsers or browser settings?

Have you changed the names of your recoveries?
Have you upgraded to the new CMRecovery? MD5 checks can take up to 10 minutes to pass but it will happen eventually.

Recovery didn't freeze. Since the latest Clockwork update "Calculating MD5 sums" can take up to 10 minutes. Patience is a virtue.

EDIT: damn jayjay beat me to it.

I did go from using Dolphin HD to stock browser again.

I suppose maybe I didn't give CWMod Recovery enough time to move past checking, but I did let it sit for at least 5 minutes with no sign of anything. I'm kind of afraid of flashing anything else without maybe reinstalling CW Recovery.

Yay rah and good for you... now for a good slap on the back!

(just being a little sarcastic, jk of course)

do just look at the faq on the swype site it gives the answers to install it all i did was recover the installer and then signed in and downloaded the full beta version again and then when through the steps and it worked i would say try it again if you have the time man

There is a problem if swype gets uninstalled and the default becomes the IME keyboard. If that happens you will get FCs all over the place.

I don't know for sure what the IME keyboard is, but I have many different ones. That surely must be what happened because those force closes WERE all over the place, and that's a fact. I had to wipe data and cache to get rid of them.

welcome to the club.

Jury is still out for me on this ROM, but i have to give credit for one aspect ... the idle battey usage is unreal!

Today i barely used my device, for maybe 12hrs. I lost about 1% of battery!

Granted im on WiFi, but all other roms i usually lose about 4x that!!

very nice!

BJ & DJ i d k what is going on with your keyboard man i just did one thing at a time and made sure they all worked w/o FC and that work and then i went to install swype i had no problem with and i have yet to have a force close when using any keyboard
