Root [ROM] PACE 4.3: Pure Android, CAF/CM Enhanced

Oh.... does that mean we'll get the new lower power consumption DSP processing? ;) . I know you have your hands full TDM, but it can't hurt to ask :D

Not sure. First I need to get the base running on my mako and then figure out the caf stuff. I'm sure it will take a while before I know much of anything.

I can't wait to see what you have cooked up for us. Is it mainly kernel issues you're dealing with or are you having to re-write framework stuff?

Got cameras working and the display errors fixed. Now I need to fix vsync and sdcard mounting and then it should be ready to test.

i would SO love for bluetooth to work on this. i am back on stock ICS because of the bluetooth issues. VS920 on ICS is a really, really bad experience. i require a solid bluetooth though...

Test build for 4.4:
pace44-vs920-test1.zip
md5=812c0b3037694c0df26567614f46fe3c

Note this works on p930, I have not tried on vs920 yet.

Use 4.4 gapps from dhacker:
Original: Dev-Host - gapps-kk-20131031.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service
Mirror: http://www.vmroms.com/~vmstorage/quattrimus/gapps-kk-20131031-unofficial.zip

Known issues:
* Keylights don't work.

Enjoy!

When things stabilize and I get the code all sorted out, I'll post a new thread, bring up gummy, omnirom, cm, aokp, etc..

Flashing!!!

4G data on first boot, but the stock camera locks up when you try and take a photo. Playstore logs in just fine and the phone dials fine. Very good first build.

Also, I can not find a SU client that will work on 4.4 . SuperSU tries to update the su binary and fails. Superuser sees that root is on the machine, but is not able to use it or hand out permissions to other apps.

And the thing I keep running into is Google+ kept crashing as well as media.android. The G+ happens on this ROM and the Gummy ROM as well

Sounds like a feature to me... I always add an init.d script to disable the backlights anyways since there so bright when using the phone at night.

You might try grabbing the su at the top of the thread, then flash it with CWM, clear out cache and Dalvik then reboot. I think... I got it to work after that. I ended up removing PACE due to G+ crashes but it seemed like it was holding SU

Is it possible for us to get ART support? I've been hearing good things about it.

I see the option in developer settings. Doesn't it work?

Note dhacker's gapps are odexed so they are not compatible with ART. At least that's what I've heard.

This just worked for me

Hmm from what I heard it was the de-odexed ones that were problematic. I suppose it can't hurt to do some testing with both. I'll try when I'm home from work.

Almost got CM 11.0 working 100% today. Just 2 or 3 minor issues left. And the camera seems to work great. This means that:

1. I can cross reference to see what I need to fix in pace-rom and any others (gummy, omni, etc.)
2. p930/vs920 should be getting nightly builds pretty much as soon as CM starts pumping them out.
