Root [ROM] PACE 4.3: Pure Android, CAF/CM Enhanced

Got the always-show-battery setting to show in the security menu but it's not actually working.

*bang* *bang* *bang* head on desk...

i flashed Pace Plus after wiping data/cache from CM 10.1. Keyboard force closes, unable to log into google to download rom manager to boot into recovery (unable to with pwnage tool using volume/power) any ideas?

I installed the wrong gapps, any ideas on how to install the correct ones or access CWM?

1. Shut the phone off by holding the power button or pulling the battery.
2. Get the correct Capps on the sd card to flash.
3. Press and hold the power button and volume down to boot to cwm. Hold them until it prompts for factory reset.
4. Press the power button twice to confirm factory reset- since you have a custom recovery it boots to that instead of factory resetting.

thank you for all of the help, i never knew that, so much easier, hopefully better luck with new gapps! such a rookie move!!

Everything running great! On PACE plus, thanks for all of the hard work and time. Only issue I notice is sometimes the LG logo will flash when there is lag or when app is booting up. This is after multiple reboots. Everything else running smoothly.

Thats the video issue in the kernel, TDM posted the fix in teh CM10.2 thread a few days back. Maybe there hasnt been a new build since then.

speaking of omni, i actually saw that on xda the other day, so i went ahead and synced omni sources got your pace rom device tree, changed some of the files to work for omni got the vendor and kernel files and getting a build going right now, hopefully it boots up, but i heard they dont have the multiwindow feature in yet because its still WIP in needs lots more fixing i heard

Yeah I did the omni picks the same as pace so they should be very compatible. I haven't tried vs920 yet, the p930 is rebooting when GPS turns on. The two models have different GPS blobs so it's hard to say if vs920 will have the same issue.

hardware/qcom/display-caf/libgralloc/alloc_controller.cpp:222:21: error: 'ION_ADSP_HEAP_ID' was not declared in this scope

sorry for ot but i kept getting this error when building omni and when i look at the file there isnt even 222 lines, maybe its somewhere in the makefile.mk, sorry again for off topic

edit: whoops i was looking at the wrong file, the file does have 222 lines actually, more than that though

Oh noes I hope omni didn't go and screw up the qcom stuff. I haven't tried to build it in a couple weeks (yeah well before it was announced).

Well I just removed the conflicted line and then it built will probably screw up some things but its always fixable

Gummy and Omni... Do you think you'll keep going on PACE or will Gummy + Omni + PAC be enough? :)

I'm going to keep pace (no pun intended) because it's the only pure android ROM that I know about. Pace plus may or may not continue. Gummy is looking pretty "sick" as the kids say ... :)

Gummy guys pointed me at the lights fix so I'll try to get a fix for that out this week. Apparently Google, in their infinite wisdom, decided button backlights were not important anymore and shipped 4.3 without it. Thanks Google! :P
