But seriously though, for the stock files app, I would search for the CyanogenMod files app, it would most likely be easier to find than the files app that comes preloaded on Samsung devices and it's basically the same thing.

Idk that stuff all I want is my files and memo I looked up cyanmod and I seen stuff about flashing things
 
On a side note... its weird, I keep getting charging issues now. Like.. my battery gets dry fast sometimes, and I can't have my brightness up when charging. Is the new 4.4 launcher more battery intensive? If so, should I just get rid of the overclocking apps and run it at normal levels?

Probably a different app is on or GPS

Check the battery section in settings and see what's using the most.

To rule out the launcher download a lightweight launcher like Lightning Launcher, use it for a day and see if it makes a difference.

If it is the launcher disable hot word detection and see if it makes a difference, it's constantly listening for hot words, and therefore if it has some kind of a bug with the phone it could be causing a leak.

My wording was a little strange on that one, what I mean to say is that the launcher may be lightweight but its just loading Google Now in the background, so it would technically be an issue with Google Now but it would be present with the launcher.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think logically that it will help
 
Oh. Don't worry guys. I fixed my problem. I set the OC to 1.7 and performance mode, turned my brightness all the way up, and now the phone charges like a dream.


Yeah... I don't get it either. I was losing charge at 1.6, power saver mode, and auto brightness....


EDIT: I like SB throwing in some Spanish up there! The language of mi gente!!

Auto brightness is a killer...
 
Oh yeah, does anyone else keep having Google TTS crash on them repeatedly in certain apps? It could be just me because I only noticed it after I removed Samsung IME
 
Hey all;

Been a few days since the last time I posted...had screen-freeze 3 more times :mad:, and 2 random reboots.:confused:
Haven't had any more issues with the TTS errors popping up since I disabled it.

Other than that, It's been working pretty well.

Party time Rom is good but has some spots that needs worked on. My main problem I just found that didn't know is the key pad when making or calling voicemail. It doesn't show the keypad!! Help me get it back on. Can't do anything with call with out keypad.

Wonder if you have any mod on the build.prop, especially on lcd density?

Is it save to mod this "ro.sf.lcd_density=240" to 200 or 160 to increase screen estate? I already made a backup, if the mod failed regular boot, can I boot into recovery and restore?

I got this phone last xmas. Without even recovery, I modded the lcd density using a 3rd party app, and the phone bricked. I had to ship it back for repair :( . And one year later, I am so tempted to try again. Can one still boot into recovery and restore if the build.prop mess up? I have recovery installed now,...

Edit: Suceeded! Using root explorer, I was able to change "ro.sf.lcd_density=240" to 200, and system was stable, no problem with market. I tried 160, and system stayed with boot animation :( . I booted into recovery, and restored it and kept it at 200. I did not try 180, should I? SB, thanks for your super ROM!
