Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

Beta1. Set min and max to 1674 on performance with deadline governor. The key is to set the min value to what the max is. My score was about 500 points less when I didn't set my min up to the max. Try it out.
Setting the min to max is leaving your cpu @ max at all times, which destroys battery life. Not a wise choice for daily use.

Only do it for the benchmark.. drop the speed and change to conservative or on-demand when done running it. Battery would probably last a few hours max if it ran nonstop at 1674mhz.

Yea but the point of the antutu test is to give users an idea of what the performance is under their daily settings... Seeing how well it performs at max cpu just shows what the phone earlier is capable of, but doesn't let users know which rom performs better understanding derived normal settings.

OC to 1674 on performance

Did it after looking back up and realizing the answer was right there lol -

Yea, again, 'performance' locks the CPU @ max frequency, so you're just seeing the very best a rom can do. Frankly, I want to see what I can get on settings I use every day, because comparing those numbers between roms tells you which performs better on your device as a daily driver.

Does anyone know if the 'ram' testing is based on ram capacity or testing what's available at the time of testing?

Not sure...

Edit: doesn't seem to - just stopped everything I could and tried antutu again, but it didn't make a difference.

Anyone else having issues with the built in Wi-Fi tethering on CM10? Any connected device loses its connection after a while and needs rebooting to reconnect. I've tried stopping the tethering and restarting it, I've tried rebooting my Spectrum. The only thing that works is rebooting each connected device (so far I've only connected one thing at a time)

not me finndo. And my phone is my only source for internet on my pc so therefore I'm using it everyday for hours and havent had one single issue with it.

I've always had issues with the built in tether once I change the SSID and security. IMU and Finndo - are you running default wifi tether settings or have you changed them around?

Ever since I put cm10 on my GF phone she has been getting alot of texts from vznw or something like that. some times at 4 in the AM. Any ideas?

I haven't had any issues. Currently set to WPA2.

I have used the WiFi tether without any problems. I was at a friends house and he connected to my phone after I set it to open security after about 30 seconds. It said he had limited connectivity first but it resolved itself. He was impressed by the 4G wireless speeds lol. I also used the WPA2 security to connect my tablet while on the road and stream movies. Both worked great.

I am still on the unlimited plan from VZ

I changed both ssid and pass, but left it on WPA2 (the default)

I'll set it back to the defaults and see if that helps.

Um... anyone know what app I need to clear the cache and data on to get the defaults back?

Start the tether app and when you get the notification long press and choose app info

Edit: Apparently that shows the android system service

OK this has gotta to be easy to answer...but I cannot for the life of me figure out why I can't get CWM to push to my Spectrum. I am running a Ubuntu Derivative Bodhi Linux and I get to daemon started successfully on port 5037 then........nothing....what am I missing? I have done this before...I am on OTA7 after returning completely to stock from CWM before....now....I have also run into the insufficient permissions after device was found....I went here http://androidforums.com/spectrum-a...oot-cwm-lg-spectrum-4g-ics-linux-install.html

to get the latest CWM and install but no dice...if you could point me in the right direction I would love to rock me some CM10

You will need root for adb or you will need to change udev permissions. I never mess with udev, I just do "sudo adb start-server". Then you can access the adb server as any user.

After you do that and plug in the phone, what does "adb devices" say? Or "lsusb"?
