Root [ROM][RC][4.4.4] ParanoidAndroid 12/24/2014

I installed the latest version and really like the stability of this ROM. I have run into a quirk that I cannot resolve, so I am hoping someone here can point me to what is probably a simple fix.

Somehow, I must have accidentally changed a setting that changed the background color for the apps icon on the launcher to white, and changed the background in the apps view to white as well. There is no functionality issue here, just self-induced irritation!

Screen captures showing the white background instead of the default wallpaper/theme, are attached.

If this is trivially simple to resolve, feel free to poke fun at me, as long as you provide a fix! Thanks all..

if u made a back up before u started messing around I would restore it or just keep messing with it tell u get it right one tip always make back up before doing thing

Strange as it might seem, I'm a little suspicious of an app update, from the play store. Google search updated recently and Google Now.

Not a huge issue at all, but it's very curious. Still very happy with this ROM.
 
Im pretty sure that there was an option for that somewhere... can't look for it though, since I'm not running PA any longer (couldn't get video to work)...
 
Oops, sorry. I was/am using Nova launcher, which has the option to change the background color. Are you using stock launcher?
While I'm posting here- is everyone/anyone's camera working for video? On any of the KK ROMs? Maybe it was the kernel I was using? I tried a bunch of 3rd party camera apps (which I dont mind) but they all seemed to have problems... Sooo back to JB for me.

Use spirit ROM very solid

I am using SlimKat 4.4.4 stable 9.0. The question on the table is how this happens and how to return to default. Thanks.

did u make a back up first if u did restore ur back up and start again on ur tweaking that's what I do

Always a good idea to make a backup isn't it. But let's say that I made a backup before this issue occurred I could certainly revert to that and the problem would be fixed temporarily, but it does not insure that the problem won't reappear. I am interested in where is the switch that causes the change in background. This is totally a cosmetic not operational problem.

Looks like this is a function of the Google Now Launcher / Material Design. I'll live with it.
