Root ROM Recommendations

Good Evening All,

I am looking for some recommendations on a ROM / Kernel combination. I am currently running MikRom sense. The ROM has been very stable and I have absolutely no complaints. I would like to find something stable, fast, and decent on battery life. I need to run a sense based rom as I use HTC Sync. Any suggestions are truly appreciated. Thanks Everyone.

Go with mikg3.11 if your not on that already. pair it with the anthrax kernel from chad

or if you dont want a sense rom you can always get CM7 with tiamat kernel :D
stable and amazing battery life!

+ 1 on that exact setup. Also, swagged out stock is really solid. Anthrax and lionish Kernals. Check out v6 supercharger script too if u havent.
 
i like mikg3.1 as well......

but i'm digging the elite series IV right now. and i'm using the anthrax kernel as well. but the agrressive universal freedom kernel also worked for me.
 
imma throw a monkey wrench in on this one...and say MikG3.1 with chop suey!!!! The general consensus with mikg is anthrax, but I am getting amazing results on chop suey at the moment..dont even have a reason to try anthrax..but like they say, YRMV!
 
It depends on your phone. Some here really like the Test 9 which is the newest I believe.
My phone prefers the #4 build.

Running it my CPU will spend 80% of it's time at 245mhz.

I wanted to give everyone an update on this. I loaded Mik3.1 and it seemed very buggy, but upgraded to 3.11 and it was much smoother. Overall this is a smooth and clean looking ROM. The only issues that I have are the battery life went to hell running this ROM without regard to which kernel I ran with, and 4G is a no go. I am sure the Mik will get those working with the next release. Thanks again to everyone for their advice!

I can confirm that 4g does work on mikg 3.11 always has on mikg just no icon in notification bar when not conected

For future reference, the only ROMS that are missing 4g are sense 3.5+, MIUI variants, and ICS builds.

All others *SHOULD* have it working (but ALWAYS read the OP for bugs).


Reasons for this is because there isnt a sense 3.5+ phone on sprint yet, so the required files aren't there. MIUI is closed source so there will likely never be 4g, and ICS for the same reasons as sense 3.5
