Root [ROM][TH3ORYROM] PUR3AO5PTH3ORY V1.0 [AOSP/CM7] DKS Kernel (8/3/2011)

If you want them on your SD get them off the market then use astro or another file manager to make a backup it will then be on your SD in /backups/apps folder
 
Been having some problems with this ROM for GPS. Going to flash back to a Sense ROM (Hasn't happened in about 3 months!) and see if I can get it to work.

Edit: Damn I forgot how obnoxiously large Sense based ROM file sizes are. >.>
 
Sorry about that. It's a good idea though. You couldn't even get a gps lock? Anyway I loaded 1.4 today and this rom is awesome. With drod dt kernel, stock, slightly oc on charger, batt life, smoothness, and speed are what it finally should be.
 
Stock kernel wasn't too good to my battery but this rom has been nothing but smooth to me. I got a GPS lock on chevy ss the other day for the fix, dt's GPS rom wouldn't let me get one
 
Looks like Burnt3ory is imminent. AOSP with new kernel, hopefully this evening. I think it will be posted on XDA exclusively with mirrors available. No drama.
 
I will be trying it out for sure. I love how rom devs act like they are in high school sometimes :rolleyes: that is the whole reason I'm here most the time instead of rootz or xda not a lot of BS going on here, we can link to any forum we want, and discuss any rom we want.
 
do you know any more about it? i looked in the last few pages and didnt see anything other than it should be this evening with 2 versions.

Wait a minute, just to make sure I understand what's going on here. Theory changes the name of ROMs becuase he switches a kernel?? No wonder there are like 5 ROMs from him on my TB list :mad:
 
No nothing further about it but I'll check it out unless it is a sense rom I think it is new build not just a kernel change

There should be more to it than that. A5op th3ory has had a couple different kernels.
 
I'm so confused with DT and his millions of ROMs. Whats the difference between Theory and this new burnt thing that's linked above by Dig? I'm making a backup and was all set to flash Theory, now I see this :confused:

edit: I'm flashing Theory. I want to see what all the hype is about. I'm not putting that dumb name in my signature I'll tell you that :rolleyes:

edit2: apps auto restoring from Google. Made a backup with TiBu just in case. I bet if I didn't Google wouldn't have auto restored, lol
 
Burnt is a new aosp Rom. Then there's th3ory. It's sense 2.0 based on the latest leak. Then mono is a mashup of sense 2.0 and 3.0. It's on version 1.2 now. 1.3 is coming tomorrow and will be based of the newest leak also.
In on th3ory now. It's ok nothing special imo. I'm waiting to the mono 1.3!

TOO MANY ROMS. My mind is being blown! The thing is: they are all being built from the source of either Cyanogenmod or...the other one. So really, what much is different besides "this bell and whistle or that colored toolbox."? It's not a huge deal, but with Tiatmat kernel, there is really nothing else I need other than a rom that handles my 4g/3g efficiently.
 
Yea I just flashed Theory and I don't know, nothing special. Doesn't seem any faster to me. I'll give it a fair shake, but I'm not impressed so far. GPS worked out of the box, with turn by turn as well (my kryptonite on all AOSP ROMs) but a few of my apps are FCing. I'm going to try restoring data from TiBu and if that doesn't work I'll flash the market fix.

There is also pure aosp theory and hacked theory I don't know what will be different between pure and burnt. Hacked has a different dev
 
Anyone have problems with the dialer not working? I can't dial out :eek::eek::eek:

"call not sent" after hitting send. Figures, I get everything setup and something elementary like the dialer doesn't work.

edit: got it working after a cache wipe
 
worm and dig are talking about different roms. worm is talking about AO5PTH3ORY,and dig i think is talking about some other sense version,im not sure wich one.

heres a rundown(cause DT is my new fav developer :D)
-the original TH3ORYOFGING3R was based on the first GB leak(2.01.605.0).
-GING3R3DTH3ORY is TH3ORYOFGING3R with the addition of some sense 3.0 elements.
-INJ3CT3DTH3ORY is de-sensed GING3R3DTH3ORY
-INFUS3TH3ORY is chingys leak as a base(2.07.605.0)
-M0N0LITHTH3ORY is a combination of GING3R3DTH3ORY and INFUS3TH3ORY,with a hybrid 2.01.605.0/2.07.605.0 base,and a mixture of sense 2.1 and 3.0
-CL3ANTH3ORY is the newest sense rom,using footballs RUU as a base(2.10.605.1)

wich brings us to aosp roms:
-A05PTH3ORY- 2.3.5 compiled from cm7 source(not kanged from cm7) with DroidTh3ory's tweeks and mods.
-BURNTTH3ORY- ?? im sure its more than a new kernel. could be themed? i dunno. i think ill wait to hear how its different from ao5pth3ory before i flash. or maybe not. ok downloading test rom now :D

the xda roms and kernels sticky treats the "flash test group" like its a rom,but it is only a place for testing and discussion of upcoming roms. i looked thru it for more info on burnt,but couldnt find anything other than it will have a "special" eclipse kernel,and sounds like some otehr kind of theming. curiousity is getting the better of me,its donw downlaoding,think ima give it a flash.

worm it makes me sad its not having the same affect on your phone. the way it runs on mine reminds me of "incredibly engineered" for the inc... just fast and solid.i got hooked on the original th3oryofging3r... it looked stock,but was so damn FAST... and every one of his roms ive run have been like that. my TB loves em :D

they are refering to the "atmosphere" on xda,and rootz lately. several developers have left xda permanently for lack of moderation and enforcement of the rules by moderators. some have had legitimate gripes,some is just drama.

DroidTheory does not seem to be involved in any drama that ive seen. i dont read all posts of all his threads,but he seems to me not to care much.
