Welcome to the WIP ROM called:

The Collab ROM!​

version 3.0.1 :D



What is The Collab ROM?

Well, I'm glad you asked :)

If you really don't care, then just skip to the bottom to download...

The Collab ROM Started here, with the idea that everyone can make a rom together by taking the previous person's work and improving upon it until we have one of the best roms out there with a locked bootloader. It currently doesn't have a lot of features, but in time with everyone's releases (which may get up to version 20.1 ;)) it will be the most envied rom in the locked bootloader community! (Aside from CyanogenMod :D)



Version 3.0.1 of The Collab ROM is basically Scrub's version 3.0w/b with the AROMA Installer so YOU, the end user, have a choice in what bloat you want, or don't want. :)

And currently, thats its only function, removing bloat while in CWM.
Soon, either Me or Scrub will add the option to add sound mods, boot animations, tweaks, and more :D

This thread will be updated with my versions of The Collab ROM.

And fwiw, I may abbreviate The Collab ROM.
So if you see me talking about "TCR" don't freak out are start WWIII ;)

You guys are doing great work keep it up. I'm currently using your 3.0 as my daily, I should hold off on flashing this if I'm cool with my bloat removed currently aside from that no major updates here correct?

-Is there a way to make app2sd work correctly without directory binding or an app? We have 5gb of space, but it gets filled up fast after installing MC4.. Maybe in future versions?
 
Thank you, I have tested both methods.. What I meant is: is it possible to program the rom to mount internal as 'internal' and sdcard as 'sdcard' instead of internal as 'sdcard' and sdcard as 'external_sd'? I would love to see app2sd run natively without a script or directory binding..
 
Have you tried the Boot Buddy? It worked for me, but I didn't like it. I couldn't keep me eye on the horizon and quickly got sea sick....
 
Okay, so one kinda major bug/problem....

you may want to include an alternate keyboard, because i removed swype AND the stock LG keyboard...and then i was not able to fill out the passcode for my router and damn near everything else...because i had no keyboard....i had to send an sms through gmail of a dropbox link of an apk to bypass this...


Just thought i'd let you know :)

Also you should allow for removal of the following:

M Studio, Metro 411, MyExtras, Pocket Express, LG Smartworld, SmartShare, VideoWiz, and Weather

Thank you for that :) I will add a warning if both keyboards are selected, and an option to add the 4.2 keyboard instead ;)
 
i just loaded version 3.0.1 and it rebooted into a morning call security alert ......any ideas on how to get back up and running
 
Screenies please. Is this themed cuz I flashed and it looked plain. Also I had to reroot. lol can you make a theme zip .
 
I did not get morningcall and did not need to reroot....but i always have "keep root ota" checked with SuperSU....soooo there is that...
