Root [ROM] The Second Wave... | Droid Incredible

Crazy question, but did you build something into this ROM which would allow me to get emails while on a call? I have been on a conference call for 1/2 hour and been receiving Gmail and Exchange mails (no notification sounds but notification symbols)...they come in bulk - like 4 or 5 at a time, but they are coming through for sure.

EDIT: So, as we speak, I am using the internet, facebook - everything works. Not sure if this was on purpose or just a random anomaly, @Adyrnaline, but might you have stumbled onto something huge here - simultanious V&D?

When I get off this call and on another, I will report back
 
I am very happy with this rom... so much I decided to say I'm going to stick with it for a while(I know I'm lying to myself), I have tried many roms in the past few days and they all perform similar but yours are the most stable... donation sent for all your hard work buy a 6 pack on me

If its not working,

cd /system/app
ls

See whats all in the list.
 
So after going from the july leak to this ROM's august leak with the exact same setup of apps/widgets etc I seem to be losing battery much more quickly. Charging the phone seems to get hotter as well and take more time.

I've read other peoples posts about it but it hadn't affected me so I figured it was just something about their setup. Now that I have it as a problem I don't know what to do.

Any tips or anything from anyone else using this ROM?
 
My favorite ROM so far. but for some reason when I'm replying on a forum, its extremely slow. I'm also not a fan of this keyboard. is there a way to get the CM6 keyboard with the messaging app?
 
I dont know if this is a bug or what... but I was finally fine tuning my scenes and I noticed it didn't tell me "would you like to replace this scene of the same name" not I have 2 with the same name... is there any way to delete the duplicate.. I tried long pressing the scene and nothing happens...

edit: I fouind out how to remove them... you can't do it from the popup menu scene... you need to go to settings>personalize>scenes and long press to delete them

edit 2: now i'm going crazy.. I just moved a few things saved it again and it asked me if I would like to replace it... you see the screenshot I'm not lying lol.. weird
 
my phone has never rebooted on me(stock or Rooted)... but I have heard of people having this problem with the stock phone...

any luck on the vvm?
 
Stop making threads dude. Edit them all and leave one active-- the ones you edit should point to the one main one. You can still include all the prior ROM versions and patches.

Also, thanks for the pimpin' ROM.

Did you read his other posts? They're different ROMs dude.
 
You shouldn't have taken out the trackball wake-- when the phone was sleeping for long periods of time it just takes a long press to get it to work.

You need a slightly more sane process for your ROM releases.

If they were in the same thread, it would be too confusing with people reporting bugs, or hints, tips, and tricks. People would be asking which ROM which bug report or tip was referring to.

Plus with all of the add-ons being ROM specific, people wouldn't know which add-on worked with which ROM.

5 different ROMs, 5 different threads. I think Adrynalyne is doing an awesome job, and thank him for taking the time to make these awesome ROMs for us.

I dunno, I cant replicate it. It was fun while it lasted, but has not happened again. It must have been just an anomaly...would be nice though.

On another note...I still am getting the FC's on the MSG and VVM. Also there is a widget which I have never seen before called 80.0dip which force closes and causes a RosieUtility error.

On the MSG and VVM, I am guessing I need to restart with a clean version of your ROM, delete the built in ones and then add the ones you provided?? It might be because I didnt delete them first causing an error. Should I go back to an older version of another ROM, and wipe data, and then reload yours? I absolutely love this ROM otherwise - it motors through everything (FYI 1287 Quadrant today)
 
OK So I am going to take the plunge and flash to this ROM. I have a couple questions though.

- If I overwrite the radio file as outlined [ROM]*07/27 Leaked OTA* Stock 2.2 with Sense [SOME BUGS!!] - xda-developers
Can I get get back to the original if need be for any reason?

- And would I simply follow the link above, just replacing the ROM with adrynalyne's ?

- I'm currently rooted, will unrevoked3 allow me to re-root after I flash? I have to have usb tethering.

Hopefully I get yeses here and can start the process :p
 
I will echo the sentiment of too many roms. All of them pretty similar from what I'm reading. It would be great to have a prominent rom where the most stuff works, the least bugs exist, and has no crapware but is highly modular with all the patcher links in it. I can't imagine anyone would insist on any inferior versions.
