I plan to use this rom later, but first Id like to know does it change the network your under, Ex: CM7 changed network and now certain things metro related do not work. Witch is a bit of a bother.

CM7 doesn't change network. It removes hidden menus and Metro Bloatware.

Whatever metro software you miss there are better alternatives on the market.

So...there is a an app that will locate my phone if stolen, and make me able to file a claim and get my phone replaced?

Edited: There are several applications on market that are supposed to help find your phone if it gets lost. Don't know about the filing a claim part ??? or getting it replaced. Think that has to do with your phone company. HTH

Hi,
I have just flashed to your most recent sense ROM and it seems great, its the best one I've used so far, however, I am having a problem with saving the pictures i receive in mms. When i long press a picture and choose "Copy attached to SD card" it tells me "Copying attachment to SD card failed" every single time. I restarted the phone a few times just to make sure it was not one of those type of problems and it still occurred. I tried multiple SD cards and the problem continued. I also installed Handcent, a customizable sms/mms program and when i saved mms from that program it worked just fine. This leads me to the conclusion that there is either a problem with the stock messaging program on the ROM or that there is some setting somewhere i need to toggle. Besides from the occasional crash when im altering sound notification settings for several programs, this is the only problem i have consistently. If you can help me with this, my phone will be perfect, just the way i like it.

i wiped and flashed this rom, with darktremor's a2sd 2.7.5.3 beta 4, and stagefright in that order and when i go use titanium backup to restore my apps it reboots and thats everytime any assistance/advice?

Lukaslukasm - Not sure if you've already resolved this, but Im almost definitely sure Sense ROM has DarkTremor scripts already written in it, so no need to flash dtapps/DTremor after flashing SenseROM - not sure what version it is tho. Now with CM7(Reppards) it does not have DarkTremor scripts in it, so you'd have to flash dtapps... HTH. Yesterday I had problems with Titanium also, maybe uninstalling TiBu then reinstalling again may help cus it did for me. HTH

i know sense rom comes with the scripts but the reason why i left this rom for reppards cm7 before was cause of a2sd messing up on me so i want to flash atapps but i guess ill see how it goes w/o flashing the scripts

Let me know how it goes. I flashed Sense last night and once again, for me constant reboots. So now I'm back with CM7Reppards, but still having reboot issues. Try Playfulgod's or Bobz's CM7 ROM, no reboot issues, but the camera is inverted, so if you can tolerate that until they fix it, their ROMs are awesome

Danielle, tbh, asking someone how they overclocked their phone to X when you can only overclock the same phone to Y under the same circumstances is kinda like asking someone how they got their skin color. They didn't really play a role in it heh. Say a batch of 100 processors is made, all for the Optimus M. 10 of 'em can hit 825 mhz or so, 1 can hit 864, 19 can hit 806, and the rest vary between 729 and 748 or so. Whether it's a cell phone microprocessor, or an intel or amd chip for your laptop or PC, the same principle applies from what I understand--they're always going to set the stock speed at something below what all of them can actually do, because none of them are consistent in what they can actually do. it is an imperfect process on the nano-sized level of things that cannot be perfected.

Great - thanks for mentioning - I do have BobZ on my phone ready for flashing. What differences are there with Reppard's and BobZ and PlayfulGod ROMs? - TIA

I know, I know - you definitely have a point, but I can try - actually just trying to make sure nothing else I can do - I can't go past 600-729 w out rebooting - seems little unusual.

there are many who can't do better than 729 for stability. I'm only at 748.

I really don't understand the instability that people are having. Between myself my immediate family we have 5 Opt M's all purchased at randomly different times. Two of which were 2.2 out the box and the rest 2.2.1 out the box. All but 1 (mine) Running Sense Rom. All stable at 320min 806 max using r.O.C.K. V03. Not a single person i rooted/rom'd has an issue. Maybe all just lucky?

for your question above DaniellieeE, before i was 787 with performance govenor but when i used smartass v2 i went up to 806 and nothing went wrong... even though i dont like that govenor now :/ and im now restoring a nand backup i had of reppard cm7 sense still messes up on TiBu :[

Previously my phone was on android 2.2 with rom zero installed. OC i couldnt pass stress test for more than 30 mins without rebooting at 748 so i kept it at 726(i think is correct). Now after flashing with this rom on 2.2.1 I tried 748 and stress tested all night. Will be trying even higher tonight!

Thanks much for response. Are you still having problems with a2sd? I was still having reboots so last nite flashed BobZCM7 Rom and I'm liking it so far - a2sd worked perfect, and files were all there (BobZ has a2sd scripts). I had a2sd problems on sense ROM not cm7... With reppards cm7 I can't receive or send SMS a lot of times mostly receive and also phone calls and the only problem I have with sense is TiBu reporting my apps causing a reboot

i switched to GNM's a few to several weeks ago, because while I appreciate Joneidy's work and all, GNM's works better--nothing fails to do as intended. I miss the sweet background image that was there though.
