OK, I have looked but I do not see anything on how to tell you how to use rom toolbox for the admire. I try changing the Boot animation with this but it did not work. Can someone please give me some advice and help learn how to use this? Thanks

Do you have the admiral beast or admired monster

I changed mine by clicking install but after that I found the boot needs to be resized I've been taking to mystery. He had me dl a program called gimp and is kinda talking me through it but send like a lot of work. He says its worth it once done. But I'm on admiral beast I haven't tried the monster yet just waiting for feed back right now. Once I understand it more I can help you out. But the boot animations work on the beast just seems its a screen size issue.

The monster is the same thing as the beast, just deodexed. The animations from rom toolbox work on both

There is a bootanimation thread in all-things-root that has directions to enable boot animations on admire. You have to replace a couple files set permissions and delete a couple files then Tom toolbox can install them. I have done it myself and can confirm that it works. Hope this helps.

I've read that same thing and what I don't understand is how to change the group and owner under properties

Do you have Root Explorer? If not which file explorer do you have?

I have root explorer I can change permissions but on the tutorial it says change owner and group but there under properties and I have no clue how to change that.

Everybody here keeps talking about rom toolbox but I prefer absolut system tools. It let's you resize the boot animation to whatever size you want and you can choose where to instal ex... system/media. Data/local and so on. Very user friendly.

Absolut system tools reboots my phone every time I click on boot animations

When you long press the file keep scrolling down the list. I think it's second from last option.

If you are not running admiral beast or the monster then you must install the files from my thread... both custom roms have my files pre installed... without them rom toolbox or any other animation tools will not work
