Yes, you can enter the video part of the camera app, but when you try to press record, it hangs for a second and nothing happens.
EDIT: Camu, that camera app that was recommended in CM12 and did nothing, let's you record and play video. I just tested it, so there's a problem with the stock camera app.
 
I noticed that there are files from when I tried to record videos in the stock camera app. I tired to play them, but no dice.

easier to list what isnt working, so here goes:

sms/mms with stock app, use hangouts or 8sms, some people prefer textra
video recording with stock app
sensors (working on fixing it right now)
headphone issues (sound works just fine, still working on getting headset routing straight)
im sure some other things

gps is working, so is camera. added led ring light which still doesnt blink, im still working on that. nfc working. mobile data seems to be working as far as i can tell (got hit with 3g only bug, so i cant test lte,) calling works.

built as a decaf rom with stock zv4 kernel source, gonna try to update to zv5 sometime soon.

flash and lemme know what works and doesnt work.

Edit: and also, i have no clue what makes some peoples cameras not work. Your guess is as good as mine, but id recommend looking through mine and Bad_MOFO_33's vendor trees on github as a start to finding the issue.

Flashed just fine for me in twrp KitKat. Also in order for me or anyone else to help see why its not flashing for you, gonna need some more info than just that you can't flash it.

What ROM were you on before, which recovery are you using to flash, etc.

Well im currently on Stock but before I had cm12 for a while
 
Kitkat or lollipop twrp? I just redownloaded from androidfilehost and reflashed with kitkat twrp to make sure its working, and i had no problem.

Also you may want to redownload the file, you could have got a bad download.

I'll try again but do i just download the one you download from zv3 twrp.img
 
This is the only ROM that I can use my rear camera on but now I can't record videos ughhh lol. Nonetheless, thank you for this ROM and hopefully we can find a solution to this camera mystery.

Try a 3rd party camera app from the google play store. I think Camu should would on this like it does on cm12.
 
I finally got it to work I had to erase all my data and etc. Video recording still broke but playback is fine YouTube videos still play 360p no higher
 
Seems to be running pretty smoothly so far. Auto-rotate isn't working for me, but I'm guessing that that may fall under the "sensors" category. There's also still a bit of wonkiness when streaming audio over Bluetooth. Although it's not nearly as drastic as I've heard with other ROM betas, audio playback seems to slow down slightly somewhere between the phone and my Bluetooth-enabled laptop, like the music is only playing at 80% speed. Video recording/playback is working with Camu app.
 
Ringtones won't work on my behalf for calls and notifications. I use a call speaker app to make it somewhat work. And sound booster so Its louder and camu for videos the lte issue still there. But other than all that... Great ROM all around thank you.
 
New update: the latest build disabled the ability to rotate..... But apps fix that for me as well. Again thank you so far.
