re: desktop vs drawer
K, thanks, I'll try it on the desktop for a while and see how it goes.
I'm also a minimalist like you are, but I find it more functional for me to have them on the desktop rather than an alphabatized list of apps. In the app drawer, can I have folders so I can store apps in them? That would actually possibly be more beneficial to what I want than having the desktops filled with apps. I'd like to create little folders like "Media" for Youtube, Winamp, etc, Internet for the browsers and whatnot, etc.
re; Titanium Backup
Yeah, I have heard a lot of good stuff about it whilst searching for Android info. I wish the manual that came with the phone was useful. I know how to plug the phone in, but I've never messed with Android before, so even though it's easy to use, the "deeper" or less-obvious functions are still lost on me. For instance, I didn't know that long-pressing the "home" key brought up a list of recent apps (like alt-tab on a computer) until i stumbled on that on a Google Play app review, haha.
I think TB probably wouldn't work in this situation, since I didn't actually backup the apps first, haha, but I'll look into it for the future. Anyway, seems I just needed to be patient; the Online version of the Google Play store just had to catch up with the changes I'd made. Now I requested to install several of the apps using the online store, and they're all already on the phone now.
Thanks again!
