Root [ROM v3] GingerFast for Xperia X8

Just updated from Gingerfast V2 to V3 and it works fine on my E15i :D Easily done without doing a factory reset or wipes by simply flashing with Xrecovery. Nice one Gabe! :congrats: many thanks :)

Hey Gabe...
It's the sexiest x8 ROM yet..but im getting loads of FC's. Any advice?
Did a factory wipe, wiped everything really. Did fix permissions in ROM manager. Anything else I can do?
I am customising my friends X8 and need to return it tomorrow, so i need a solution fast! This, is the only ROM i would choose other than ClockWorkMod latest...and i have NEVER preferred another ROM!
Please...a solution! Thanks...

use xRecovery wipe partition cache...

After two whole days of trying to upgrade my phone, from the very beginning learning how to root phone, about xrecovery, following instructions, and resetting my phone back to
 
i think there is something wrong with the keyboard predictions ... i can't find play store...
could u please help me with this???

Hi,

You just do what you did the first time.
1) download custom rom and copy to sd card
2) reboot and launch recovery app
3) factory reset and clear cache using recovery app
4) install custom rom using recovery app
5) reboot phone

Hi everyone i successfullly installed this ROM yesterday(v2) on my W8 ,.i got a bug on my headset,.when i clicked the on/off button(on my headset) the radio responds instead of the w8 music player:(

help anyone

currently i'm using gingerfast v3, everything s okay but for messaging, there some message that couldn't enter my phone or messaging application eventhough it's already delivered from my friend's. what should i do?
already wipe cache and everything but still doesn't help :|

C) CUSTOM ROM INSTALL
Step 3: Installing the 2.3.5 ROM on your Xpedia X8
- <boot> Xpedia X8
- when you see the words [Sony Ericsson] on the phone screen -> start pressing the back button on your phone multiple times and you will enter the xRecovery Menu.
- <select><factory reset (full wipe)>
- <select><wipe cache partition>
- scroll down and hit <install custom zip>
- select <gingerfast v.3.zip> from your SD card & hit <yes>
- xRecovery will start to install the ROM on your phone.
- when it is done, xRecovey will go back to the startup menu
- <click><reboot>

i follow this step to do. after i reboot, my phone on edi...i just see android word. can i know all have this happening. if like that how look i wan to wait?

I follow your step to do, i complete all, after reboot. my phone show that screen is android word. i wait 2 hours. until cant use my phone, anyone do u got any solution regarding this.
