VelocityLite is a 'lite' ROM based off of Velocity 1.1. This ROM is for minimalist people who don't need all the extra stuff

So what are the features of this version?
Hopefully it will help with the battery drain, I'm losing 1% every two minutes :/
I hope that's just the battery giving up.
 
Definitely excited to test this out. Is there any way to automatically set the network type to GSM/CDMA automatically instead of having to set that after each restart?

If not no big deal but just figured I'd ask.

The Ally does not have a GSM radio?:confused: How are you setting it to GSM/CDMA?
 
In the testing menu (*#*#4636#*#*) then go into phone info...it's one of the fixes for the 50% bug that's been posted a few places here.
 
50% bug is 100% reporting issue and has 0% effect on real world conditions.

As for Terminal Velocity its just a mod, stripped down, reskinned. You could do this to your own Velocity 1.1 install using the scripts and toolkit, this will just already have things removed.

No offense, but I don't get it. What I mean is: One could just remove those 'apps removed' with Titanium Backup, add the Elegant Gingerbread theme in terminal emulator and just have the exact same thing. Am I right or wrong?

If you read the description its a lite/themed version of velocity. Nobody is playing it up to sound like a brand new rom.

You know what you not alone. I feel like my batt does drain quite fast in 1.1. But it might just seem faster because we see the increments in 1%.
 
So who's running this rom over velocity? I love velocity but is this really faster, better, etc...

i kinda am haha i had stripped most of this off of the velocity release. if this had been released earlier i would have DLed this instead. READ man. its a lite version of velocity. it has apps removed and is themed differently.
 
I might have to try this out. Anything I should know about before-hand?
...other than make nandroid backup!!
