Question for you guys... I noticed with this ROM you get the "device not supported" message in g wallet.. Does this render wallet unusable? I haven't tried it bc I didn't wanna break anything :) lol

It's performing its own full wipe.

If it still fails to respond, just reboot and restart the process.

Don't sweat being new, we all were once. ;)

Remember, the first rule of rooting is Don't Panic.

Just go slow.

With a nandroid backup, you can always restore and not be really stuck.

Alright... re-flashing seems to have it going. Good!!!

Went to put daughter for nap hours ago, and came back, and it was stuck at 4%. Just got done flashing before I could finish this sentence.

YES!!!!!!!!!! Fluid as all get out.

Trying to restore apps with Titanium, and got a message saying that the Android ID has changed, and that it might affect some apps. It gives me the option of restoring the old ID.

Never seen that on my old OG EVO. Any ideas?

Restore your old id, it shouldn't cause any problems. It tells me that every time I restore apps after flashing a new ROM and restoring never causes me any issues. :)
 
I use MyBackup Root, and avoid that altogether. Just saying. ;)

It may cause Wallet issues on that id thing. The XDA thread said something about the id, sorry, I don't recall what.

I went ahead and restored old ID... thanks Early. Titanium is now running batch restore. Already liking this ROM a lot.

Might have to check out MyBackup.
 
So i just flashed CM10- amazing.. still has some things to be worked out but that is to be expected : )... question here is..since i had to flash a different kernel... if i wanted to nand back to viper, or mean would i have to flash that kernel again?

The /boot partition was part of your nandroid, so I _think_ that it will restore the kernel for you, with your particular setup.

It will tell you if you are having trouble restoring any partition.
 
Oh my... this is really, really smooth. I am about to be a flash ho again (that didn't sound the way it did in my head).

My wifi sleep issue seems to still be there... is there a setting I can toggle in the Tweaks?

I am gonna have to give CM10 a try though... for now, gonna enjoy this. Thanks for all the help. It humbles me to know that as much as I *think* I know about modding, there are always folks here to bail me out. :)
