I expect that it will have it baked in.

There have evidently been some important changes to V6 SuperCharger. I am trying to track down details.

V6 properly replaces your services.jar file, but the stock V6 can collide with Viper4G, hence the file linked above - something to tinker with while you wait, if you like.

I too can't wait for V2.0 of this Rom. It's gonna be a keeper! ;)

Maybe we can get a set of minfree settings posted up that work the best. Not sure if these work like kernels and are phone specific, or if these will work across the board. :confused:

EM, are minfree settings universal across phones?
 
Minfree settings aren't standardized across phones.

Properly done, behavior is a combination of minfree settings, oom (out of memory) adjustment values, Dalvik parameters, the size of the system image for the normally running rom, and the ram on the phone.

That Viper4G 2.0.0 is offering a push-button easy way for most everyone to get the goods is a reasonably bold statement on the part of the devs, and in my opinion, the step forward that we need, for all those that don't want to delve into the above list.

The V6 SuperCharger was designed as the general purpose tool to solve this, but really requires more skill and trial and error to get the best with a specific phone, based on my experience and on that I've discussed with others elsewhere on the forums.

It's not been rare to see parts of the V6 SuperCharger baked into roms before, but this particular case of the Viper4G rom is really taking this to the next level.
 
Thank you EM, I was unsure if those values were universal.
I guess posting a set of values for the rest of the members won't work. Maybe a general, this does this, so tweak as needed, as apposed to that does this period? Might help steer folks on choosing the right values to suit their phone.

Ultimately, we haveny seen what it will entail yet, so I might be jumping the gun. Anticipation is killing me.....:D
 
Fwiw, the minfree values I arrived at here as a temporary working set ended up being very close to those chosen for CM10 at one point.

Zeplinrocks has made some good enhancements to the V6 SuperCharger and now overcomes the issues that I faced when I integrated it with Charmeleon.

Maybe as time permits, we can put something together on that and other minfree adjustments for those not using Viper4G, MeanRom or CM10.

Edit - I need to double check, but I think that Benny's CleanRom is also using the new goods, not 100% sure but think so.

So far as I know, only this one has the push-button easy way to refine the values though.
 
does this rom or any for that matter disable the wifi direct feature our phones have. I can't get it to work at all. it shows me being connected to another phone, but the option to share via wifi is not there. how do we get this feature working??? has anyone used it yet with EL TEvo???

ya know since i rooted my phone, i have not yet tried and used the hacked tether feature yet. i will be doing a nandroid restore and let you know. i'm on cm10 gonna give that a try as well.
