Building for the R910, but if the hardware is all the same should just need a cricket mms fix flashed.915 I hope, and yes I'll genie pig
usually depends, but yea normally is better over stock.
The weird way samsung does stuff is being a pita, but I'm sure with some advice from the dev community we can get it working.
Im guessing without looking that they are one in the same the 910 and 915. From dealing with Ati and Palit in markwting/running one of there oc teams...That the 915is bad binned 910 boards that they are getting ris of and if they ran out of bad onea they could still dumb down to 3g if needed. could be a reason no usb hdmi support cause they didnt want to pay patent fees twice for the same boards. just a guess i dont see why they would hust turn off lte support instead of saying 4g ready...
so if thats the case it would be like other binned down hardware on the market. some would acept the update and work fine. others would juat lock up if u tried to enable somthing screwed up that they blocked out when t

Yea basically what I think too. Once this port is up and booting I will need a rom dump from the R915 and I will be able to setup the src to build for either like the LG Optimus repo I use is setup.
they could also lazer cut that out of the board if they wanted. which would make a user have to do a pen mod if possable to unlock it. yet thats an extra step that they normally dont do in pther hardwqre anymore and just lock it via flash. Ill upload this rom late earlly morning.....ur want me too whip it down to stock unrooted no extra bs?

its not ready yet, I will update the OP when we have a working build going. It will also be on my wiki (see sig), and its the first thing I update when I have something to add on the sites.

Well since both of those are based on stock 2.2 Froyo, IMO def yes it will be...or a good as Exodus??

we may have decided to go with cm6 to start with due to lack of GB src for the drivers such. IBCH this is gonna be a pita lol on either count.
Heyo everyone,
I was working long and hard trying to compile a cm7 for indulge. That didn't work out so well, due to my lack of linux knowledge. During the time I was trying to build it, I asked Playfulgod for more than enough help. People kept asking me when the new version of Exodus would come out, but now that's riding on this current project ;p.
Mostly all of the work of porting Cyanogenmod is going to be done by Playfulgod, due to his experience with porting CM to prepaid devices, and his linux knowledge. I did my best to try and learn linux, and I learned a ton...but Playfulgod knows much much more lol.
He offered to help try and port this thing over, so the reigns are in his hand. Keep in mind though, he doesn't own an Indulge. So that's what I'm basically here for. I'm assisting him with what I know about Samsung phones, and in case I don't know something I always refer to other known samsung devs: Konane, Shabby, Dr, and Decadence. Also I'm providing him with all the samsung goodies he needs to get all this working. I at least now understand how github works, and what a list of src looks like and should contain.
Before we release it, to prevent massive bricking I'll probably be the main one testing it. When we feel its safe to release, and that it won't mess up your guys phone, we'll definitely do so.
He also mentioned that we are going to have to start with CM6, instead of CM7. He listed the reasons above, but keeping mind if we are successfully able to get a working/stable CM6, we can then try to port CM7. We already had about 4-5 successful compiles (aka CM7.zips for CWM) of CM7 for the indulge, but when I tried to flash with CWM it failed. So, without having any working CM on the indulge, its hard to start working with. That's the reason were going this route.

Unless Samsung gives a little, I don't know if this can be done to a level that everyone who just heard the words "Cyanogenmod on the indulge" expects.

yea I found this out the hard way lol. Silvist told me about his time limitation with school starting and I just gotten the port for the optimus c going and a port for the ascend 2 booting and figure how hard could the indulge be lol. Man was I wrong, but we will give it a good go anyhow and hopefully get sumtin working good enough for a daily driver.
