Well, this just sealed it for me...downloaded it, flashed it, and all I did after that was updatr my contacts thru google, the damn thing froze ..RIGHT AWAY!!! More proof that this phone cant handle anything more than ICS. I'll be returning to last good config. and probably all the way to either bone stock jb or ICS!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

These particular phones are so damn picky. I feel better about JB than I do ICS, but then we have you who's phone freezes at the thought of JB. :/ Ohh Samsung.

I will definitely be holding on to this phone for a while, but when the Motorola G hits the US in January, I'll be jumping ship. I feel that Moto has always had better build quality for me.

I've kinda been in the fence about either the Supreme or jumping ship To Boost for the Optimus F7....this may have pushed me over the edge... we'll see...

Thanks for checking this out for me. Mine is another phone that freezes up when it thinks about JB. I was going to try the ROM, but if your phone is as touchy as mine, why bother. Funny how much better the Partytime ROM with MiRAGE runs too. ICS is all laggy but at least it gives me a phone I know will work when I need. Shame too, with all the work put into these ROMs, but glad others are getting good use out of 'em. I still might try it since installing the recovery ROM is such a breeze.

Like I was saying earlier, I hope we can get a version of Kit Kat on here. But if that never happens, check out Stock Rom Plus, that's my favorite custom ICS build on here. Too bad the Mirage kernel isn't on it!

Superboy, man, really appreciate your work, even if my phone is stupid!

EDIT: put the ROM on my phone and it froze about 7 hrs. later.
 
Much As I would LOVE to change phones, I just can't afford to get one right now..

On a lighter note, I do have a new(ish) P.C. to work with...it's a HP Compac 5850; AMD Athlon II 64, 2gb memory, WIN 7 (YES!)..
Refurbished off-lease from TigerD ...99.99
NO MORE NETBOOK & Win 8!!!

Maybe I'll plug in the phone and play around with stuff... lol!
 
I have wifi on but the 3g keeps turning on and off really fast. 3g will randomly just switch on, make a connection, then switch off again all while being connected to wifi. This did not happen on party time 3.1

Any solutions? Connections optimizer is uninstalled so it cant be that.

Update and it seems to have stopped at least for now!

Umm my 3G has never ever been on while on Wi-Fi

My reverb used to freeze up quite a bit but now it doesn't...never really bothered me when it did though, all you have to do is just hold the power button down till it reboots, that way you can avoid removing the battery constantly
 
I don't normally post on forums. Seems like someone else usually says or asks what I would have anyway ;). But I registered an account this morning just so I could say "Thank you!" to SB for his awesome ROM. My phone runs faster, battery lasts longer, gets better cell reception, makes me dinner..... And it gets better with each update. Nice work dude! If you can fix this phone I'll bet you could fix Obama Care in no time!

Yeah, I know about that method, but it isn't so much that it decides to freeze; as it is when it decides to do it that bristles my ire.

It's usually when I'm in the middle of something, or want/need to do something (almost always immediately...Murphy's Law & all).

I've been trying to pick out a pattern as to when it happens, but that quest seems futile; and as often as that has happened to me since the inception of 4.1.2 with this device, it's gotten QUITE maddening...:mad:

I DID re-flash 3.2 last night (gave it another chance); and it DID boot up and act 'right'...more reports on this to follow...

While I don't believe that any one piece of software is the culprit; I DO feel that the dev.'s at Samsung were VERY short-sighted and cheap when corporate went to them and said: 'Get us another device out there'; that they just 'hodge-podged' something with whatever they had lying around the lab to appease the suits and buffalo the masses. And it's that belief that still fuels my thoughts that there are more than one supplier of touchscreens for this phone...much like my previous phone, the LG Optimus V, a couple of years ago.

Like I posted earlier, can't afford another at the present... so we'll see.

Clock stops working when I try to set alarms. Or edit the existing. Using a 3rd party app instead, and is working great.
 
Thanks for this, installed and working fine. I too have problems setting alarms in the clock app. I'd love a fix for this since I use the alarm often. But I appreciate the stock apps and theming you've been adding, and the removal of Beats (I've heard that it actually uses an inferior EQ when it's switched off). The more stock and less Samsung the better.

Is there any way you could remove the Samsung Push Service as well?
 
Feature request: on next update, SB, can you please get the wifi hotspot working? The reverb is very difficult to get the wifi hotspot working on 3rd party app. TIA,

I find that interesting, Because my hotspot works fine but i know people have been having problems for quite some time...I use pdanet+

I will if I know it's purpose, I kept it because i was scared of removing it for functionality purposes, what does it do?

Yeah, I'm having that issue as well...You can set the alarm through google now, but you can't change it in the app!!! WTF!?!?! i'll work on it
 
so i have been along for the ride since i got my reverb a month or two ago. before i had a fascinate that was an absolute pain to get to accept ANY rom i tried to put on it. but when i rooted this reverb and used SB's Partytime original it works amazing! so i have been along for the ride since the 2nd update on partytime. Anywho.... i was just curious if i could just find a way to upgrade to 3.2 from 3.1 instead of wiping everything? or do i have to get rid of all data... a big shoutout to SB again on making us a fabulous rom that works smooth as butter!

Just wipe cache and dalvik cache, then install the zip file, and it should go fine. I haven't needed to factory reset since I started using party time.
