Root [ROM][WIP] Party Time JB

I can't send or receive picture messages. It just gets stuck on "sending" (or "downloading") and after a few minutes says can't send. Other than that, everything works fine. (Including root)

Superboy, this thing is far more stable than stock JB. You're fantastic at this. I admit I haven't fiddled with GPS this week like I wanted to, but the phone not rebooting on me every 6 hours is the best part. Keep it up!

EDIT: GPS is pretty solid and sticks to my position without jumping around for miles or even losing it altogether.

i keep getting forced freezes. i have to forever restart the phone. i've re-flashed and wiped everything multiple times but still freezes on me. any help? because otherwise its smooth as hell and very responsive.

I installed PartyTime JB 2.5 and it's running smooth except the option for screen candy does nothing, but im fine with that because i know not what it does nor do i care. I don't want you to think i'm being pushy or something i'm just curious. Will there be another release for the reverb from you? And if so what's the likely hood of it being in the neighborhood of 4.2?

One question.. does anybody know how I would go about adding the activation app and all back on my phone? Going through settings to activate it doesn't work. And I did follow the directions and factory data reset/wipe dalivk cache.

So after moving, finally got the internet hooked up again after Time Warner cancelling my install appointment twice.

Just downloaded the PT JB ROM and just wanted to make sure - this is flashable with CWM, yes?

Installed with no issues, cleared dalvik cache, but I did not factory reset

I did have to reinstall SuperSU and BusyBox via CWM to get root to work

I did not lose any data, contacts, texts, ringtones, or any of my apps

SMS, MMS works fine

GPS works fine

Google Play works fine

Even though it's only been running for about a half hour, so far it is smooth and hasn't frozen.

The only problem I've had mate is the fact that the activation app isn't installed anymore. Other then that I love it.

I thought the activation shortcut/app was always removed after the phone is activated for the very first time. It is unneeded after the phone is activated for the very first time.

It doesn't get uninstalled mate, only hidden from the app drawer. Not even dialing ##virgin# and clicking activate phone will allow it to connect to the network and activate for my phone.

Have you tried activating it through the virgin mobile website? Im pretty sure you can call customer support to have it activated as well.

Yes, if you weren't activated already you wouldn't get any calls at all.

Weird problem to have, though

I did notice in the Trebuchet settings that trying to change the number of home screens or changing the default home screen causes Trebuchet to crash.

Not something that bothers me, but I thought I'd mention it

Hey, peoples...Is anyone, or DID anyone else having issues getting 2.5 to boot-up? I'm having the EXACT same issues that I had when 1st tried to install 2.4.
Install; flash; reboot; white logo w/yellow badge; blank, backlit; loop. After several days of trying this, I took all old recoveries and all other rom .zip files off the extsd card, and tried again....same result.
THEN...I re-flashed cwm8 thru Odin. THIS time it did the same thing EXCEPT for the backlit screen and loop...just a blank, BLACK screen. Best I can tell, it's not backlit now. Time is in-consequential, as I have let it sit between 30 min- 2 hours after booting...

UGH!! Here we go again...lol!

Edit: sanjuro...I JUST saw that you wiped dalvik and DID NOT factory reset...I'm 'a gonna try 'dis...

ReEdit: Yea, No...More of the same...Backlit bootloop :argh:

Weird...are you able to flash any other roms? (Meaning pre- 2.5)

The only obvious thing that comes to mind since no one else had issues is maybe it became corrupted on your original download?

Have you tried downloading the ROM again?

Yeah, I've re-downloaded it at least 3x. It's weird, because sometimes the reboot loops @ different speeds/rates...sometimes quickly (once every 3 or 4 minutes), and sometimes once every 20-30...

Well; after losing yet again perfectly fine recovery files x-fered between Windows and my phone;I decided to download SB's 2.5 STRAIGHT TO MY PHONES EXTSD CARD. The result... PERFECT, QUICK SUCCESS! It loaded and started working before I could get my lunch made this morning before work! Soooooo..... Today after work, I'm going to try to download and install atrium 1.1 the same way. If my hypothesis holds true, I'll NEVER USE WINDOWS FOR X-FER & STORAGE AGAIN! (OK interloper, you can say 'I told you so'... LOL!)
