Root rom won't flash

not exactly sure what you mean by inconsistencies. if it is a text log, you can probably open it in windows and see what it is.

i'm not familiar with file expert. i use titanium backup to backup my apps. so i'm not sure what folder they are in.

you've never ran a disk check on windows? or booted up windows and gotten the "good" blue screen?windows did that to my droid apparently.

file expert is the free version of titanum backup basically, i think it can't stop bloatware, but i'm not too concerned with that. I use it because its more visually pleasing

i guess not. but i would not worry about it unless your computer cannot recognize or see your phone. or if you are having issues with you card not mounting to your phone.

as far as file expert goes, there should be a folder some place on your card where it saves your apps. usually most apps just name it after the name of the app. but if it is not there then i do not know.
 
All is well. Running cyanogen now,thanks to you guys. Now to figure out how to get the app market back and Gmail so I'll Have my contacts
 
have you tried the built in wifi tether feature? it is found in the wireless and networking in your phone settings. or are you using the wifi tether app?
 
Wireless tether app fails to load wifi interface and ad hoc. I haven't bought the wireless Hotspot
 
Simply says error, as in the phones wifi connection doesn't work, the thing that lets you scan and connect to wifi wont turn on.just says error below it in settings/network and wireless
 
Had it happen to me try the wireless tether app 3.0 run it first then do your normal WiFi. To find the app. Just Google android WiFi tether

Not to be a dick, but are you even reading the thread? Someone suggested that already. It fails,tries to turn on then says error. No there is nothing but error there, right below the tether in the settings/wireless&networks. Wifi wont turn on, none of the wifi apps work.
 
did a fresh wipe and re flshed cm7, everything is working fine but it seems to be laggy/slow. would it be wise to try the tiamat kernel you all seem to be using?

Yep, try the tiamat kernel. Though CM should be fine. I've used it in the past before the final release and it was very fast. Much faster than stock w/ sense.
 
not much of a difference really to be honest. i just liked to be up to date on it. it is giving the same battery life as when i was on 3.3.8.

as far as sbc goes give it a go. it really takes awhile before your battery starts to feel the effects of the sbc charge. since switching to this kernel and to sbc i'm having the best battery life out of anything o have tried in the past.
