Root [ROM][YACR] CM 7.1-Reppard

yes...use these

mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /system

cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image

chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image

mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /system

flash_image recovery /sdcard/(name of recovery)

Granted you have android sdk tools
and know how to gain superuser thru terminal
 
No and no... I was rooted, but i fuked my shit up! So i kinda briked it. I tried unbriking with LGNPST putting original ROM back on but it only turns on to the "Android" screen and loops!

I'm sorry this came too late but here's a solution for when unbricking fails like that...pull the usb cable out and battery when LGNSPT says you can disconnect. Then reboot as if you were going into custom recovery with VOL DOWN, HOME, and then POWER. There will be a quick splash of stock recovery and then the phone will reboot into the normal stock rom.

Lol...I literally just got thrown into fastboot doing a recovery experiment and the same thing happened to me right after LGNPST finished its work. Of course I had to spend about 5 minutes restoring my MEID and such. But that's because I used emergency mode instead of dealing with my PC's dislike for ADB Fastboot....
 
Is there a way to add the spanish dictionary to the android keyboard since reppard removed all the languages except english?
 
I recommend you get a better keyboard than the stock android keyboard. the swype beta is free, or if you want the best word/sentence prediction out there that I've seen, pay the $4 for swift key X. and I know you can download additional languages with swift key x, and I think you can with swype beta.

Swype's email never came, so I never got to download it. The crap I found doesn't seem to work when I install it. How can I add swype to a ROM that does not have it?

Try to sign up for the swype beta again. If I remember right, I had to request twice to be included in the beta. On the second request I got the email from them. Once you get that, then all you need to do is download the Swype installer. Run the installer, and that will download and install Swype. That is what I'm using right now in fact, to type this.
 
swype is the shit.. i never used it b4 a couple weeks ago.. but i will never go back to a stock keyboard.. or a keyboard with bigger keys.. lol swype is awesome
 
I love this rom! but just have one question, everytime i record a video there is no sound just clicking noises! I know my mic works and there is nothing wrong with the phone? Is there a fix for this or is it just the ROM?
 
I guess its just my phone, then cuz mms ain't working n I JUST dl'd whatever version on OP last night. a2sd also didn't work right off the rip n had to reflash dts a2sd script...

A lot of people (including me) have found that MMS won't work unless you have 4 bars of cell phone reception (not wifi or 1x/3g signal). If I have 1 bar, it sits on send for ever and never completes.

As far as a2sd goes, yes, you have to flash the actual a2sd script after the 1st boot is done. For what ever reason it doesn't work out of the chute.
 
^^^^^is the a2sd script linked anywhere? or is it just script to run in recovery to change ext partitions? (trying to put this rom onto an optimus m and not have any hiccups lol.)
 
im a noob in doin all this. nd i know this is gonna sounds pretty stupid but can anyone plz give a step by step nd what programs i need to be able to flash this rom in my optimus m. plz plz. i really want it on my phone.....


or if sumone could even do TeamViewer with me nd help me put this Rom in my phone would be great thank you guys!
