Root Rom Zero for 2.2.1 4/5/2011

trying Rom.

Question. If I unsign to flash the rom... do I resign it after i'm done. And If not... what happens if I do/don't?

Do I use the same recovery to flash the Gapps?

Currently continually displays the splash screen(correct me if i'm wrong cause I don't know what that img is call) for honeycomb. Doesn't go any further, but I never flashed the Gapps. gonna try that now.

Still get just the initial splash screen. Any thoughts?

After first time i done it....honeycomb stayed forever...then i re-flashed it came right on.....oops...i have 2.2.....wrong firmware

I'll try again. Gonna try all wipes... maybe I missed something.

Went through this time. Only difference was wiping user data
Last time I just did davlik and cache but not user and got front screen continiously.

Now time to play.

I flashed this, I do believe I did wipe everything first but I never had any bootloop trouble, I did however find it slightly laggy compared to the chickeneater rom.

There currently isn't an overclock kernel that is compatible with 2.2.1

Ok, school me on the proper procedure for flashing this, or any other custom ROM.

I'm rooted and have deleted the bloat.
I have Titanium Backup and the Custom Recovery for 2.2.1 from joneidy, which I used to make a NANDROID backup.

I read about wiping everything prior to flashing a custom ROM.
1. What am I wiping?
2. After installing a custom ROM am I able to put back Apps+System Data from a Titanium Backup or do I need to begin anew?
3. And finally, would this be a good tutorial to follow?
