Root Rom

I am a rooted user on an lg optmius v 2.2.2 and i was interested in installing a custom rom. I have looked around and dont know where to start. What rom and what should i do first in rooting my phone? i have backed up with titanium already. i wanna be able to change stuff like the notification menu. i would also lke to overclock my phone without overheating

Understand the nature of the beast. Overclocking will always generate more heat than the phone was designed for, even though it can take it.

Don't worry about the proc heat. The battery generates a lot more.

Correct, especially if you're charging while using it heavily. I believe the additional heat from the battery is from the higher voltages that an overclocked processor runs at.
