I'm using my phone to write this, its plugged in to a stock usb car charger & I'm experiencing battery drain. What's up with that? I didn't notice this on stock, only after i flashed BO rom & now #2. Also, randomly my soft keys are unresponsive.

Thts very Odd... Ive been going, I mean using #2 (:D) since its first release and I never had any issues with the keys. I dont have a car charger so im not sure about that one but I will get one today and try it out to help confirm the issue is within the ROM so that ldrifta can begin a fix if needed.

I heard that car chargers are bad cause the voltage goes up and down with the alternator which goes up and down depending on the gas. Like if you step on the gas the rpm goes up and speeds up the belts that drives the alternator. Heard it a very long time ago don't know how true or if still true but i always stayed away from them.

Alternator converts the current produced by the engine into a nice steady stream of DC. The battery drain happens on multiple chargers and power sources.

I flashed back to stock after experiencing high battery drainage with BO. juice defender was installed, data turned off but my battery would go down to 30% in about 5 hours with limited use. I thought it was just me but I'm wondering now.

I can't kill my battery if I try while it's plugged in, though I've been led to believe that car chargers are slower than computers are slower than walls in terms of how efficiently they charge a device. I have my data off all the time though unless I need it for something, just because the drain is obscene, and I clock my processor to 192-384Mh when the screen is off. That's a good day and a half, two days if I don't do much with it, and a full day if I'm on it constantly. Seems like everybody has a different experience with battery life and these ROMs, but let us know after you try stock out, it seems to me you might even have a hardware issue with it just not charging properly. My old phone had to be sitting just right when it was plugged in or it wouldn't charge.
