Are you looking for a new rom or kernel?
They are flashed basically the same way, just gotta wipe differently.

im doing that now ..aftrer that i should just follow these steps?
1.first you need the vr superwipe:ZZZVR_SUPERWIPE.zip. download it and put it on your card. (optional)*
2.download the rom of your choice and transfer it to your card.
3.go into recovery
4.make a nandroid backup
5.select wipe from the main menu and wipe dalvik cache, cache, and data
6.select install (or flash depending on which recovery you have) zip from sdcard
7.find the superwipe file and flash it.(optional)
8.find your rom and flash it.
9.reboot.

Yup, I would add, do NOT wipe sd card!
I personally do not use superwipe, but it wont hurt.
I wipe all except sd card 3 times then flash.

can somebody give me a link for a ics mason I rc4 kernel, cant find anywhere.
I tried to flash RC5 but my phone keep restarting

I know back a year or two ago with the evo if you took the ota update you'd loose root and have to redo it

how did i miss the previous post from this member? LOL good catch.

to all reading this post: NEVER ACCEPT AN OTA WHILE YOU ARE ROOTED. use that practice on all rooted devices going forward and you will be fine.

Just out of curiosity...What happens if I DO accept the OTA?

Your phone will look like this.

:)
Nah, jk...it will fudge your root I believe.

well there are a few scenarios that could happen:
1.it could unroot you and close the the exploit that was used to gain root. (though now days with htc unlocking the bootloader, obtaining full root is not necessary)
2.it could leave you with s-on, a locked bootloader, but with a custom recovery. a weird state to be in.
3.sometimes because you have a custom recovery the ota may not even get flashed as it usually needs the stock recovery to install the ota. not sure why for some, the ota's still gets installed anyways.

just to make it easier on all: do not accept it. no need to. a dev or two usually will have the ota cooked up into their rom or they will come up with a rooted stock ota rom. no need to take the chance on accepting an ota, when all you need to do is wait. and the devs usually will have a leaked version of the ota and a rom out even before the ota gets officially get released!!
