Root roms and kernels!

Im planning on rooting my gingerbread evo mostly for a performance boost and for the wireless tethering. I've been looking at different roms and kernels and have no idea which one fits my preferences. I want 4g, hdmi out, no camera quality loss, gps and don't want to lose any important features any suggestions? Or should i just keep to thw stock rom as it works great for everything i do. The only thing is once i upgraded to 2.3.3 i've noticed my camcorder gets out of sync when i record video and the quality doesn't look as good as before I've messed with the settings and same result any help? Thanx alot in advance i really appreciate it.

try mikg2.45. best rom to start out with and go from there. i do not use video all that much butit worked. also there is hdmi but no hdmi mirroring. we are waiting for teamwin to create support for it in their kernels.
