Root Roms n devs

It's new in the sense that it's new to Boost Mobile. So the phone is new to a whole bunch more users. That means later on more devs might appear and will work on this phone. Like with the LG Marquee. It was new and recently is getting custom roms and stuff. So I'd imagine they will show up eventually.

Also via the HTCDev website, this phone's bootloader can be unlocked (without needing root) so I think custom roms can be made for this phone, but rooting it is another matter....
 
The phone actually came out in sept of 2011 via us cellular called the hero s. Then came out on sprint in oct 2011 called the evo design 4g. Now out for boost mobile. All 3 phones are interchangeable with roms, recovery, root (just flash a su.zip), and custom gingerbread kernels (none for ics yet). All custom items will run straight up between phones (minimal changes for wimax). I am on the hero s from us cellular and running the lastest ics leak (about about a week old) from your evo design on boost mobile. The software number is 1.10.653.2 radio 1.11.00.0418.

You guys also need to check out 2fastroms.com (I'm not trying to pull members from this site - just stating that a lot of work you are doing is already done for you). Under the download section & hero s, as this is the source for the cwm recovery you are using (at the top left in recovery you will see 2fs - 2fastroms as he is the one that 1st ported it over).

A lot of work has already gone into your phone developement wise (boost mobile evo design 4g), including several working on aosp ics roms/kernels currently. The dev community is pretty small for these 3 (identical) phones. I think we need to pull our resources together and not work against each other with developement for this phone.

All of those forums are under my usernames (grad and grad061980). I do not and have not changed my username for any reason. I have always been those names.

I don't mean to come off rude or anything but you are wrong in your assumption.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to helping where I can. I dev a little, but not to the extent of other more experienced devs. Hopefully we can get some more love to this phone. :D

I'm Joshua I'm doing good let's do this we can all work together and make a great community for our great mid to high end device.
 
I just got the phone a couple of days ago & with Apache Thunders help it on i'm all over it.:D i'll be posting some themes & roms very soon, also adding some features to our roms like the many features of AOKP ICS 4.0.4.
