But we already have a clockwork mod recovery as well as cyanogen mod 7.
Here's the link to custom recovery:
[RECOVERY] LG Optimus Net Clockworkmod 5.0.2.7 - v1 - xda-developers
And to CM7 by jst :
[ROM][DEV][CM] CyanogenMod 7.2 for lg p690 (Optimus Net / Optimus Link) - xda-developers

Awesome thank you, I'm kinda new to the android scene so I wasn't to sure I just know with all the rewading I've been doing most if not all android phones run better when using custom ROM's compared to stock.

Edit: ok tryed to flash the recovery as instructed on that page and it's not working.. if anyone has done it with the for mentioned method I would be grateful for a step by step for the whole process this way I don't mess something up and brick my phone :-D

I have it working and would be glad to help you out.
First of all download and put flash_image and recovery.img in sdcard/
Also download terminal emulator from play store.
Using es file explorer long press on recovery.img go to properties and select show checksum . Tick md5 and select calculate. This should give you a mix of numbers and characters. Compare it to the md5 sum given in the thread it should match exactly. If not download again and try.
Open terminal emulator and type su and press enter. The $ should change into # .
Now copy paste these lines as is.
# mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
# cat /sdcard/flash_image> /system/bin/flash_image
# chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
# mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak
# mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
# flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
# reboot recovery
If you get file not found error ignore it and continue.

I am trying to get the stock dump out so I can help develop a great ROM for the LGL45C (Optimus Net) from Net10/Tracfone/Straight Talk, and have ran the .bat executive, but it has gone on twenty minutes since I started the thing and it is sitting there going through the part that states, "THIS will take a very long time" and goes no further.

Also it provided this:

hey ninadchaudhari,
can I get ahold of the Rom you made? I also have an Optimus Net lgl45c running 2.3.4. It would be awesome.

Let me know if you need anything from me.

Thanks

Chris J

Hi Ninadchaudhari, my lg l45c is rooted, has cwm and is now stuck in a bootloop in CLM recovery and wont boot back to phone, only to recovery. The lg net has 2 diff op systems, 690, and lg l45c. (this is what this thread started with) I think this is what you got the original dump for and we all need a rom for. IF YOU COULD HELP IN ANY WAY WITH A WORKING ROM STOCK OR ROOTED I WOULD BE FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Not having the same phone but can help you.

Before doing anything,
take a Nandroid Backup because your phone might become an "Expensive paper weight"!

Boot into recovery by pressing and holding down Home + Volume up + Power buttons simultaneously.
Select 'Backup and Restore' from recovery's main menu, then select 'Backup'.

Now if something goes really bad (e.g. your phone's battery died when flashing ROM)
you can restore your ROM by using 'Restore' option in Backup and Restore in recovery.

Now you're ready for flashing you ROM!

1. Download the ROM you wish to flash.

2. Put the ZIP file of ROM and others (may include kernels, fixes, GApps) in the root of your SD Card i.e. /mnt/sdcard

3. Boot into recovery.

4. From Recovery main menu, select
Wipe Data - Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Wipe Delvik-Cache (From the advanced menu in main menu)

5. Now go to 'Install ZIP from SD Card' from main menu; then select 'Choose ZIP from SD Card' and Locate your ROM zip and flash it. If you don't need to flash other ZIPs then go to step 7.

6. Go to 'Install ZIP from SD Card' and flash other items in this order:
> GApps
> Fixes (if any)
> Kernel (if necessary)

7. Reboot
