You should be able to SBF Froyo no matter what version you are running, correct? Then take the OTA update to GB.

im not sure, i just dont know in all honesty, if his sbf file isnt working to flash the full system for 2.3.340 then i really dont know what to tell him

I can't get to the sbf download sites (mediashare, megaupload, etc) at work but will try to flash froyo tonight when I get home.

So I can just run RSD lite and flash a froyo sbf?

yes you should, and good luck, those sbf files are what you need to get your phone working correctly. if you cant flash them i dont know of another method that will work

lol are you on froyo? or gb?

try using the 2.3.340 full system sbf file, it takes you to froyo, from there you can get back with ease

Finally was able to use RSD lite 4.9 and sbf from Roolers Guide.
Android 2.2.1 System Version 2.3.340 Full (VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01)

If i have sbf'ed to 602 and wanted to do a factory data reset so i can erase all data and start over, will it bring my back to a fresh copy of a wiped 602? or go back to froyo?

Just wanted to give an update. No issues with the froyo sbf so I did a naindroid backup of my phone, and used the .602 linux cd sbf and upgraded with no issues.
